Kenwyne's Cardiff Comeback?
« on: April 04, 2005, 01:40:43 PM »
Stoke City FC

Kenwyne Jones jetted back to the Britannia Stadium on Monday to bolster manager Tony Pulis' squad ahead of the visit of Cardiff City.

The striker, on loan until the end of the season from Southampton, has been away on International duty for two weeks with Trinidad and Tobago, who were involved in World Cup Qualifiers against Guatemala and Costa Rica.

He figured in the defeat against Guatemala but didn't play in a goal-less draw with Costa Rica.

While the manager is understandable pleased to have the youngster back at the club, he's unsure whether he'll play on Tuesday night against Cardiff.

"It's great to have him back because he works hard and is a breathe of fresh air in the dressing room, " Tony says.

"He's had a family bereavement in between the two games while his was away on international duty and when you've got players on flying three quarters of the way around the world you just don't know what's going to happen to them.

"We'll have to wait and see whether he'll be involved against Cardiff."
