Note that its Hibernian FC of Malta and not Hibernian FC of Scotland. How did they get aways using the exact n Hibs name in Malta?

Is ah different country. Club names doh have to be unique across de world.

The football club changed its name a year later to Hibernians Football Club as a nod to Hibernian, the club founded by Irish Catholics in Edinburgh.

Some how, in football you can call yourself almost any world famous club name except in the city where the name originated. It have Arsenal in Argentina, Liverpool in Uruguay, Barcelona in Ecuador, Celtic, Ajax in South Africa. TT used to have Shamrock, Blackpool in PYM, Arsenal and Blockpool Tunapuna. But in the US, I think you can legally copyright a name. I could be wrong on that.

Marsaxlokk bring in former Hibernians forward Rundell Winchester
By Valhmor Camilleri (Times of Malta)

Rundell Winchester has been released by Hibernians FC and will continue the season with Challenge League side Marsaxlokk, the Times of Malta understands.

The Trinidad and Tobago forward had joined Hibernians in the summer after a successful debut season with Gudja United last term.

However, the towering forward struggled to secure a regular first-team place with Stefano Sanderra’s side, making 11 appearances, mostly from the bench this season, netting two goals.

“We would like to announce that 27 year old forward Rundell Renold Winchester has been released by the club. During his time at Hibernians, Rundell played 11 matches and scored 2 goals,” the Premier League club said in a statement.

“We would like to thank Rundell for his service and wish him the best of luck in his career.”

Once becoming a free agent, Winchester immediately attracted the interest of Marsaxlokk FC who agreed personal terms with the players on a deal until the end of the season.
