I watched the game yesterday and they had him playing RF which wasn't really his thing but I was impressed with his performance nonetheless. I kept hearing about him but being abroad I haven’t been able to see him play. Even though he was playing out of position he looked good overall and scored a class goal.

Lovely.
Rundell you're on your way to growth and progress. You're in the right environment.
We're investing in you to be the one of the next strikers of significance for T&T.
Great job by Central getting him out there, getting real exposure. Falls perfectly into BraveHart's plans for World Cup preparation and maybe even Gold Cup.

This is great for Rundell Winchester.

But just to be clear....he is NOT playing for the Portland Timbers MLS team.

He's playing for their "development squad" called "T2" which made it's debut in the USL this weekend.

Still......playing at this level in this sort of professional setup MAY be superior to playing in the Pro League.   At the very least, he'll get experience playing in different conditions with and against players vying for a MLS spot, so the competition will be fairly intense.

I would go so far as to say, not may benefit ... but will benefit. Was Beneficial for Molino in tier 3 of the American leagues. Being away especially in the States with a former Wake Forest college coach with a top reputation is bong to be good. Ask Scott Sealy who was probably coached by him when Sealy was there.

Doh worry Palos. Go for it Rundell!

T2’s Rundell Winchester a bright spot for T&T U-23s in Olympic qualifying
By Mark Kostic (timbers2.com)

It wasn’t the outcome the Trinidad & Tobago U-23 National Team had hoped for heading into Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Olympic qualifying. But one of the few bright spots for T&T’s U-23 side during the tournament was the play of T2 forward Rundell Winchester.

Winchester, 21, featured in both group games for T&T against St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Puerto Rico, scoring a goal in each match. His second-half goal against St. Vincent and the Grenadines sparked a rally that fell short in a 5-3 loss on Saturday. On Monday, Winchester’s sixth-minute goal paved the way to a 5-0 victory against Puerto Rico.

Unfortunately, the loss against St. Vincent and the Grenadines over the weekend eliminated the T&T U-23s from further advancing in CFU Olympic qualification.

A native of Plymouth, Tobago, Winchester now turns his attention to the senior national team. Named to T&T’s final Gold Cup roster earlier this month, Winchester will join the Soca Warriors for a training camp in Miami on Wednesday as the team prepares for its opening match of the tournament against Guatemala on Thursday, July 9 in Chicago.

With T2, Winchester has played in 13 games (12 starts) during the regular season, recording two goals and a team-leading three assists.

Rundell Winchester has signed a contract with recently promoted Finnish Premier League club, Palloseura Kemi Kings.

Rundell Winchester joins Finland club.
T&T Newsday Reports.

FORMER TRINIDAD and Tobago striker Rundell Winchester has joined Finland Premier League club Palloseura Kemi Kings (PS Kemi).

The 22-year-old began his professional career as a teenager with Central FC in December 2012 and he also had brief stints with CS Vise in Belgium and Portland Timbers in the United States.

According to the Kemi Kings’ website, Winchester will be on a two-year-long contract with the club, which is inclusive of a trial period. Winchester has been training with the team for a week now and made his debut against VPS in Vaasa yesterday.

The forward started the game which PS Kemi won 1-0 thanks to a 52nd minute goal from Billy Ions. Winchester was substituted in the 73rd minute of the game.

PS Kemi had been looking for a new striker after Sasa Jovovic left the club and joined first division team Ekenäs IF.

It probably has to do with a recent article where Winchester said that Ronaldo is his inspiration.
