Bootan guides Hillview to victory

Jesse Bootan slammed 48 runs and snatched four for 28 to lead defending PowerGen Secondary Schools Cricket League (SSCL) Premier Division Champions Hillview College to a 21-run win over Vishnu Boys Hindu College in their round seven game at Esmeralda Recreation Ground, yesterday.
Bootan hit five sixes and two fours in a 75-run stand with his brother Jonathan (28) to lead Hillview to 177 all out off their reduced 45 overs.
In reply, Vishnu were dismissed for 156 in 42.3 overs, but despite their loss, Vishnu stayed at the top of the standings, with fellow title contenders Barrackpore West Secondary in second.
