Just saw our girl in the U-16(not sure) 800  came in 8th. But, this is developmental meet. Hopefully next year she will be more ready with proper coaCHING.

18s ... disappointing run indeed. On the other hand, I was very impressed by the maturity demonstrated by the Bermuda runner doh. She broke up the J'can threat with the right approach. Our runner didn't respond to the challenge.

The Jamaican strategy has been to break the field from early ... I was hoping she would move when they moved to separate, but she didn't. We are suffering from not having 2 finalists in these events. The cooperation between the JAM teammates is evident.

Agreed!!! That trip, the Bajan trip and the Bahamian false start in the hurdles ... painful.

Shame: some of these athletes will go on to represent at the next level with distinction and represent their islands and the region well, but it's a pity so few are in attendance to cheer them on.

Kayelle Clarke just won the U-20 girls 200. The girl from Guyana, Kadecia Baird, reall good too. She could have won it.  She fell just before the tape. But Clark is a good find for the future.

Yessir, that was race fadder. We need more gutsy athletes like that, after a while smelling Jamaican bam see gets old and you have to reach deep and raise your game, instead of being content with lower placings. Great way to close the show.

Ditto all ah dat!!! Much character was on display during this race ... the first baton exchange (poor by JA) ... opened the door.
