Fazeer makes an important point about national identity but unfortunately I feel that the justification he uses for making this point weakens his argument because there are some very valid logistical issues that made the decision necessary. I think the question that should be asked is more along the lines of "given the importance of creating and maintaining a national identity that includes both Trinidad and Tobago what can be done with the airbridge/ferries to facilitate this need?" or something thereabouts.
