Martinique 1-6 Costa Rica. Check out the 2nd (spanner included) and 6th (overhead kick) Costa Rican goals.

CR converted their opportunities well, Martinique missed a couple sitters, had they converted to make it 3-2 thing could've turned out differently.

Jamaica start bright... then it was all downhill from there.  Beautiful left-footed strike to open scoring, but after that it was all Mexico.  Jamaica keeper look like they just put she in de side.

I don't think it would have made much of a difference. Based on the highlights CR just looked too good offensively and remember they missed a few sitters as well. MTQ only had a couple of chances really.

That being said CR's keeper looks weak and their defence can be beaten.

You know in hindsight, having to play the number one team in the world and to hold them at 1, is something our ladies can fall back on. Where is CR ranked? And at this stage it matters little. This is the time to bring  yourA game  . Players will rise to a level we have not seen from some.
So ladies bring it on!!!!! Let's go for the WC

T&T Women Warriors will get a TT$50,000 bonus, each, as an incentive from the Government of T&T, as they head into the semi-finals of the CONCACAF qualifying round for FIFA's 2015 Women's World Cup.

The news broke this afternoon when Sports Minister, Rupert Griffith, said Cabinet had taken a decision to also give the incentive bonus to the members of the technical staff, as well.

The Warriors will face Costa Rica on Friday afternoon, in the semi final round, while the USA will meet Mexico in the double header at the PPL Park Soccer Stadium, in Pennsylvania.

In reference to the circumstances under which the team left Trinidad and Tobago, without any money, Griffith said it was no fault of his. He received the request for money, he said, when the majority of the team was on a flight on the way to the training camp in Dallas, Texas, and that he gave approval for the funds within five minutes of it reaching on his desk.

Granted, they were unlucky - but the technical gap between the teams is evident. Prisca Carin for MTQ lacked conviction in her play. With a bit more of conviction and strength on the ball, she could have imposed her will on those chances.

Nah Tallman, number 1 shouldn't be there.

De 2 goals number 9 from Costa Rica scored (de first one and de bicycle) on Martinique was top.

Hey Tallman you couldn't find room for YaYa goal that she scored on the header cross from Mollen versus Haiti
The timing , execution was nothing short of spectacular  :

:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Do you plan to give us your top ten Keeper saves as well your top ten Defensive plays as well.

Keep up the great work.

Klingenberg's was goal of the tournament for me by far... that thing was like a laser off her boot.  The amount of power to hit that from so far out, and it never seemed to change height, ridiculous.  Speaking of ridiculous... Martinique goalkeeper though  :-\

I liked both of her goals, but  couldn't find room in my top 10.

I'll try to do a list with saves (goalkeepers and defenders)

Ah feel kinda bad for she. She make one or two good saves, but like she eh have one ounce of athleticism in she. An to top it off, plenty times de defenders hang she out to dry.

The defending was horrible, but this is it right here fuh me... She look like she have about a three-inch vertical.  Dai'z de best they could find in Martinique?  Not trying to bash her, just being brutally honest.

I think OK Corral goal is number one. She put all the technique of Klingenberg and pressure of Rapinoe.

From a neutral standpoint, this US Women's team can be a real joy to watch at times.  They don't play beautiful football, but they are ruthlessly efficient.  Two chances, two goals.  Delicate touch of a brilliant cross to head home the first goal by Carli Lloyd, then a long ball over the top, controlled in the box with the first touch on the right side, dispatched near post with the outside of the right foot, with the second.  Wrongly called offside.

EDIT: Wasn't called offside, I need to check mih eyes... ball hit the outside of the net.

Well the dive in the box by Tobin Heath makes up for that... penalty Lloyd makes it 2-0 in the 30'
