Who like the new TTFA strategy?
« on: July 07, 2015, 08:43:17 AM »
I start to notice that they just sit and hide, have no future plans on how to be self sufficient and make players threaten to boycott and once it reaches public the TTFA sit back and let the ministry of sports come and bail them out?

Please tell me this ain't so?

Tim Kee strangling our football just waiting on elections?

Look how this women PanAm team suffering again. Not one single practice game and sending them of to play the likes of Argentina. This team play in front of a sold out crowd and the TTFA made a profit of 1.5 million dollars and they did not spend a dime back on the ladies team?

The senior men's not happy either, they still not paid. They working for free.

The men's PaAm coach not getting paid, and only pick locals and now de locals hoping T&T get eliminated early so they could go trials in Europe.

Tim Kee did a good interview for Flex and now all the stuff he said making it look like lies and bullshit even if is true.

Why is David Muhammad still working with the TTFA?

Why no one is happy, why?

We only keep hearing promises and nothing is coming to pass.

TTFA = Trinidad and Tobago Free Association.

Everybody working for free except Sheldon.

The Gold Cup starting and the TTFA should have reps here selling supporters stuff etc.

They sitting on their ass with no plans on how to make money just waiting for general elections. It go be very interesting if de corrupted current government win again.

Sancho, yuh dream go be alive, yuh snake.

Sancho telling de truth here allyuh, who lying, one man saying this and one man saying something else?

“The federation got money from Concacaf for preparation for the Gold Cup and airfare but we (Government) are paying for airfare,” Sancho said. The question is what is happening with the TTFA. They keep finding themselves in this situation.”

“I have met with them about five or six times over the past two months, and they have not once put in any sort of request for the women’s team.”

TTFA general secretary Sheldon Phillips said the Minister may have been mistaken when it came to the figures. “We did not receive $100,000 from Concacaf (for the Gold Cup). We received around $33,000, which did go towards the two Pan Am teams.

The figures in US or TT?

And Sheldon favorite words, misinformation.

Anybody could really explain to me what going on with the TTFA, the Ministry and money?

The article regarding the Women says that : Concacaf gave money for the Gold Cup and airfare. What that have to do with Pan Am? Whether is $33, 000 or $100, 000?

Secondly, Sancho says they met 5 or 6 times and not once they ask for money for the Women...? So in all that talk, they didn't talk about all the national team programmes? Whatever money the Ministry give them was for just the senior team then?

Thirdly, Phillips say that TTOC was providing funding for Pan Am games...so why he blaming the Ministry now saying the limited access to money from the Minsitry is what cause this and they had to ask Concacaf for an advance?

Why reporters just don't ask proper questions and stop accepting these non sensical answers?

How hard is it to say : Pan am games cost X amount of money per team. Either the TTFA didn't ask for X amount (in time) or they were denied the money. Simple as that. Is either they got the money from whoever and reallocate (thief) it or did not get the money from whoever.

What i will like  to know is ....When will this Circus end ? i certainly hope soon..!!  This is absolutely ridiculous now to say the least ! There are so many claims and counter claims both  by the minister of  sports @ the MOS .as well as the The president of TTFA / general secretary......Someone is certainly Lying to the public / fans of the sport.........it is my hope  that all the politics be put aside for the betterment /.improvement of both men and women football nationally....It is time to stop the damn nonsense.... As for Mr Brent Sancho / Mr Ray Tim Kee this is not about either of you ....Be bigger than that ... its about the players welfare . So stop the Foolery  once and for all ....Think about the players ..we want to see our various teams / players  perform @ their best  Put the emphasis  in that direction... create the environment for such by collectively working together ....anyways am out for now

TTOC were covering costs of athletes travelling to PanAm and accommodation (or at least had organised it). So no budget was provided to MoS for women, although money was requested for the U23's for PanAm.

In reply to your question about the US$33,000, I think the point was that if TTFA received over TT$200,000, which they did not need to use for Gold Cup, it could have been utilised for the women's match fees. Perhaps a better question would be: if TTFA received money from CONCACAF for Gold Cup, why did taxpayers have to pay for flights, accommodation, match fees, laundry etc?
