Two teams in different places. Mexico under a new coach (and a foreign one at that) but relying essentially on its stable cohort of players. However, to see Rafa Marquez out there raises an eyebrow at his age, but there he is.
Uruguay: playing with a mix of the very experienced and those growing in experience. But, what we are seeing is Tabarez offering no renovation in his tactical posture.
On top of that, this is a Uruguay without its most potent weapon ... yet again.
I see the integration process implemented by Tabarez but I can't help but focus on "where" this squad is an aged squad.
A bit of a contradiction between the view on Marquez and the view on Uruguay's age? Debatable. But, Mexico has variations in speed that Uruguay lacks.
