International Steelband Panorama Stage SetThursday August 6, 2015The bands, twelve local and twelve from the wider Caribbean, United States of America, Canada, France, Japan and England - will compete at the “Mecca of Pan,” the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, on Sunday 9th August 2015. Starting time is 3:00 p.m.
Bands will be vying for the first prize of US $250,000. and the “World Steel Pan Trophy” designed by Kemal Manickchand.
The seven Adjudicators for this competition are Dr. Shannon Dudley (USA), Dr. Larry Snider (USA), Ms. Claudette Vincent-Stewart (St. Vincent & The Grenadines) with Lambert Phillip, Roger Sardinha, Damion Phillip and Lennox London from Trinidad & Tobago.
The International Panorama, produced by Pan Trinbago, embraces all steelband playing-countries from which champion bands have been invited to compete alongside the winning Panorama 2015 (competition) bands.
For the competition all participating steelbands must comprise a minimum of seventy-five percent (75%) of players who are citizens of the country which they represent. Each band will be permitted to perform with sixty (60) players maximum and forty (40) players minimum. For the purpose of the competition, each participant may select and perform any calypso or soca of their choice. No performance shall exceed eight minutes.

Tickets are on sale in Trinidad at Cleve’s (Frederick Street, Port-of-Spain) Crosby’s St. James, Kam’s (Long Circular Mall), WACK 90.1fm, Atherly’s - San Fernando and Pan Trinbago’s Head Office at Park Street, Port-of-Spain (Reserved), and also at the venue on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th August 2015 from 8:00 a.m. Admission is TT $400.00; Reserved, TT$ 300.00. General Admission (Grand Stand) and North Black are TT $200.00.

I've got first hand information from Boogie Sharpe who is in London to arrange for the the Mangrove Steelband for the London 2015 Panorama that most if not all of the foreign bands which took part in the competition in T&T were supplemented by T&T players to make up the numbers and he personally described the competition as a sham because of that rule which allowed them to supplement foreign bands with T&T players.
Boogie's band Phase II Pan Groove placed 4th in the International Panorama competition.
