This is just the beginning! J Williams will reduce us to nothing. All these nonentities who have achieved nothing in their coaching life are given positions ala JW to curry favor to an ignorant society. This new president is JW on steroids.

Imagine this man has brought that dinosaur, Mohammed issa, probably one of the worst excuse as a coach, and has given him a position in his administration. Heaven help us as we are about to revert to pre 1990 football.

Watch this idiot go out of his way to get rid of SH. If these hit men in T&T only knew to pick worthy candidates people like Skeene and the new pres. would be history.

now talking about the intense mental & physical preparation & training that Canada players experience. The still wondering why they not on the skill level of the Americans.
88:41
one offering by Leblanc..takes time. However, they on the road to that level. Heavy and long camps..and the players who are not constanly in camp, are now getting in environments, where they are playing in upper level clubs, with and against some of the best players in the world consistently. So in the near future, expecting to reap rewards..
meanwhile Canada throwing way left and right..  fulltime 6:0

:rotfl: :rotfl:

The contrast in content here ...  how yuh drop that in. Had me rolling.
everybody have dey Jumbie, real & perceived..even when yuh #1, everybody on yuh case to topple yuh...so we critize..yet as much as we talk we talk ..
things still not being put into place to make success a reality...and dem (Canada) crying

http://www.trinidadexpress.com/20160214/sports/canada-rout-women-warriors-6-0

Trinidad and Tobago senior women’s football team were beaten 6-0 in their Olympic qualifier in Houston, Texas, yesterday. Diana Matheson opened the scoring for the North Americans against the ‘Women Warriors’ in the 24th minute before Melissa Tancredi doubled the lead in the 44th. In the second half, goals from Christine Sinclair (63rd), Kadeisha Buchanan (66), Janine Beckie (75th), Jessie Fleming (79th) put the result beyond doubt.

I have to state this before I comment on the goals today....
I've been plesantly surprised by our GK during our WC campaign.

Since then, it seems like she's maybe put on some size but it seems to have slowed her down.
Her reaction times and speed off the line arent what they used to be

The goals she has been conceding are ones she would have dealt with more comfortably in the past.
I'm not blaming her for the loss, cause I know how it is as a keeper not having a prepared team in front of you but she honestly needs to look herself in the mirror and challenge herself to produce better effort on her performances(this obviously goes for all the players)

I say this because her footwork and positioning seem to be compromised. Possibly the fact that she's unattached and not playing regularly could be part of the problem.
Hopefully for her sake she can find a team to train with regularly (unless she is doing that already)
She def. looked like a top quality keeper when she burst on to the scene, I hope she can rediscover that form soon.

Randy Waldrum is so passionate about our women's football. It's sad how he was treated by the TTFA. I guess they could not handle his honesty and knowledge for the game, and what is needed to really make the team succeed.

T&T in must win situation after defeat to Canada.
TTFA Media.

Trinidad and Tobago’s senior women have found themselves in a must win situation against Caribbean rivals Guyana in Tuesday’s “final” CONCACAF group phase encounter after suffering a 6-0 defeat to Canada at the BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston on Sunday.

The Women Warriors conceded four second half goals to slump to the loss against a clinical Canadian team which never allowed their opponents to get above them on the evening.

The match saw veteran Christine Sinclair go past Mia Hamm on the all-time international scorelist as her 63rd minute goal pushed her tally to 159 goals.

Head Coach Richard Hood made two changes to the starting team from Thursday’s 2-1 win over Guatemala, bringing in Danielle Blair and Victoria Swift for Ahkeela Mollon and Janine Francois. T&T, starting with a 4-2-3-1 formation, were outshot 2 to 22 by the Canadians

“It was a disappointing result and not the one we had hoped for. I have to give Canada a lot of credit. They are a strong tactical team and they did well,” Hood said after the loss which followed a 4-0 loss to the same opponents in Natal, Brazil in December.

“We had our plans and I think it worked for a while but we weren’t able to carry it on to the best of our ability.”

Skipper Maylee Attin-Johnson said Canada capitalized on T&T’s weakness on the flanks.

“I don’t think we competed the way we would have liked Canada gave us a lot of trouble down the wing and we didn’t have an answer for that. A lot of the goals came down the wing. It was difficult for us. We just did not compete the way we normally do and we are just looking to put this defeat behind us and get ready for Guyana on Tuesday,” Attin-Johnson said.

T&T held their own for the opening `15 minutes, keeping pace with the Canadians but then found themselves trailing in the 24th minute when Diana Matheson collected a ball from Josee Belanger and shot past Kimika Forbes from an inside right position as the T&T goalkeeper failed to protect her near post.

T&T’s Mariah Shade had a glorious opportunity to level the scores after T&T won possession inside Canada’s penalty area and the ball was played in for Shade but her shot was weak and too close to Erin McLeod in goal for Canada.

The Caribbean champions fell 2-0 behind a minute before half time Ashley Lawrence crossed for Melissa Tancredi to head home.

As the second half progressed, T&T lost shape and their legs began to dwindle. Canada took advantage and began to dominate proceedings.

Sinclair put her name on the scoresheet, punching the air to celebrate her landmark strike. She met a pass from Beckie and chose her spot before hitting past Forbes to put Canada 3-0 ahead on 63 minutes.

Nothing seemed to be going T&T’s way as they struggled to offer much in Canada’s danger area. Forward Kennya Cordner did a lot of tracking back to help her T&T on the defensive but she hardly got a sniff at goal. And winning goalscorer against Guatemala, Tasha St Louis, only had an 87th minute shot on goal.

Kadeisha Buchanan put Canada 4-0 ahead in the 66th minute with a right-footed effort. And Belanger would have two assists as she provided for Beckie to easily head in Canada’s 5th in the 75th and Jessie Flemming struck home the sixth goal nine minutes from the end.

“At the half we did try to correct some of the things we didn’t do well in the first half in terms of our tactical organization. We brought in Liana Hinds on the right flank and we brought in Kayla Taylor but the plan didn’t quite work out. I think we just weren’t up to it today.

“We do need to win on Tuesday. We looked at the Guyana game today and we observed some things that we can exploit and we hopefully can go into that game, create some opportunities and take them and win the game. Our ultimate goal coming into the tournament was qualifying for the second round and then whatever happens after that happens, and that is still our goal,” Hood added.

Attin-Johnson will also be hoping to lead her charges to an improved showing and into the semi-finals.

“We are the number one team in the Caribbean and for a reason. And that’s the mindset that we are going to go out there with on Tuesday, knowing that we are better than these girls in terms of our quality It’s a do or die situation and we have to give it our all and we will be prepared and ready to do so,” the T&T captain concluded.

Yes, I agree, he didn't have to help them get a friendly and use the Houston Dash facilities also.

Big up to Randy.

Local coaches have a long way to go, even if we lose against a power house like Canada is ok but de play and set up from T&T was terrible during the game.

Is Mollon injured or has her (substitution and subsequent) non-involvement been due to her not complying tactically?

Separate item: playing 4-2-3-1, then post-match musings about gehhin whipped down the flank? We don't have to say much more than "Kadeisha Buchanan" to get the point.

I had a few disappointments, only because I wasn't surprised by the result from the 1st 5 minutes of the 40 th minute when I tuned in. My top most was the play of Mz King..where she was inspiring by controlling the ball and working it out from the back in the earlies, her coverage and hard tackling strengths..to see the girl just sticking a leg and kicking the ball anywhere - read opposing player - and chasing after forwards, cause she wasn't in position was just more sad to accept than anything else..is like a facisimile playing with her name...the other pumped up left wing back from last campaign, where is she ? foot has to be broken, and even then...
by the way we had 2 attacking highlights...one goalie saved..had that score would it have been a different result..Yes, maybe 10 -1.   smh ...I know for a fact they capable of better, cause I saw it..but how to get that out now...I don't know.

I think players should not talk to media a day or two before games? they talk to much sometimes, I red where they were planning to upset Canada and so on, this is not good because sometimes the media can turn things around and the players are also putting pressure of themselves.

Sometimes, we just need to plan silently and after games, yes, we can talk. Put our heads down and stay focus on the task ahead.

Maylee seems to be the only one who can talk proper or real.

A next thing, we win one game vs Guatemala and we hearing all kind of talk from the coaches and players, again, its ok to be positive and encourage players, but we must take things realistically and serious.

The structure of the T&T team and the tactical part were really poor vs Canada and this basically means a few things, 1, the coach lost control of the game and his tactics was also poor, 2, the lack of preparations/fitness,,, etc.

The real measure of a man's character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.

Agree 100% with this. And this is precisely why I think a loss to Guyana this afternoon ( which isn't at all far-fetched) will be a blessing for our women's team. Not only because it will save us from another resounding ass-whooping against the US in the semis, but it will force the   powers-that-be to take stock of the situation and realize that it can't be business as usual. If we move on to the semis I fear that the authorities will want to sing their own praises and forget completely about the abysmal showing earlier on. When we eventually do get knocked out after the US match we'll be treated to  the same song and dance about how the team exceeded expectations and did well to reach the semis despite the limitations etc etc.....nothing will change, and they'll go on doing the same thing for the next tournament and expect a different result.

Lets not forget Guyana also beat Guatemala 2-1.

But, yes, T&T is a better team IMO, but we much not feel so, we much play so.

Actually, I don't think they're going to expect a different result. I do believe they'll try to convince us of that though. Because that has been the standard operating procedure regardless of the administration.
