Lalonde Gordon now at #3 - 200m - 20.77 but MLA still #1 60m - 7.17.

Not sure why the IAAF have not added MLA's season opening 60m time of 7.14 to the Women's Indoor Top List. As it is the list should be indicating that MLA's has the two Top 60m times in the World of 7.14 and 7.17.

Also the IAAF have not updated MLA's season opening 200m time of 23.19 to the Women's Indoor Top List.
I am sure if she was American they would have updated it ages ago or maybe our NAAA's need to get on the ball and send the IAAF the information.

Lalonde Gordon won the Armory Indoor Men's 300m in 32.83. He set the facility record of 32.47 there a couple years ago.

Mikel Thomas did a Season opener & new PB of 6.67 to win the 60m in Albuquerque at the ABQ Convention Center yesterday.

DO NOT COUNT OUT JARRIN SOLOMON. He ran a pb in 400m indoor yesterday. 45.42 has him second on the toplist. Lendore ran 46 flat. He is fifth on the toplist.

He did run the 45.43 aviator on an oversized track. You can verify the time on the top list on iaaf.org

Gotcha!! More comparable to an outdoor time, but still a good opener even with altitude factored in.

Iaaf had it recorded at 45.43 and he was second on the list. I guess they made an error. The time really had me second guessing

Trinidad and Tobago’s thrower Portious Warren was in record-breaking mood on the weekend.

In the women’s shot put open event at the NAU Invitational, held at Northern Arizona University, Warren threw 16.16m to beat her teammate Jess St. John 14.94m.

Warren’s mark erased the NJCAA indoor record of 16.09m and is also a school record.

Meanwhile, BVI’s twin and Warren’s teammates at Central Arizona, Tynelle Gumbs 19.70m and Trevia Gumbs 18.01m were 1st and 2nd respectively in the weight throw.

Warren was 4th in this event in 17.24m

Portious Warren was in record-breaking form at the Northern Arizona Invitational. The Central Arizona College freshman threw the iron ball 16.16 metres to win the women's shot put event, establishing a new National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) indoor standard in the process.

Another big day for Portious Warren :applause:

Quote
Trinidad and Tobago's Portious Warren was at her powerful best at the Puma Indoor Classic in Arizona, USA, on Saturday. The Central Arizona College freshwoman threw a personal best 16.36 metres to strike gold in the women's shot put. The big effort also improved on her National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) indoor record, as well as the school record.

Priscilla Frederick cleared an iNR of 1.90 in the HJ, Lalonde Gordon put  down another fast 200m in 20.76 (SB) over Joel Redhead in 20.91.

Trinidad and Tobago's Lalonde Gordon 20.76 and Grenada's Joel Redhead 20.91 in 200m 2/27/16

Well done guys, Coach Trevor Green and Zenith Velocity track club.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

On viewing the race, I think Lalonde eased off at the end and could have clocked a faster time.
Still its a nice SB of 20.76 from him! Would have been nice to see Lalonde equal or lower his 200m Indoor PB of 20.58 before the Indoor season is over.

His coach Trevor Green commented on facebook that Lalonde did ease off a bit but this race was more about Lalonde bringing his training partner to a faster time. TG also said this is Lalonde's last race until world indoors and that he wanted a 20.50 from Lalonde but was extremely thankful for his two athletes in the race to have run 20.XXs.

MLA came in night before her race in Madrid lost her luggage and didn't have anything to compete in but still found a way to be on that start line and to win the final in 7.19.
