Historic victory for Jabloteh. Congrats to the players and staff. However, I would say don't get carried away in the moment because sterner tests are ahead and a second victory is needed to advance comfortably.

When SJJ was at the tournament in 2016, no family support was on the ground. Last year there was only one parent when Police participated. As such, it's a progresive step in 2018 to have SJJ return to Mexico with several relatives of the players in attendance. Dahis a positive vibe.

Today at 1pm T&T time, San Juan Jabloteh face Toronto FC. Because both teams secured opening day victories, this match is a top of the group clash that could establish who secures progress to the next phase.

its almost shocking to watch a local team display this degree of tenacity, good use of space making concise passes and general football intelligence at such a tender age, most especially against top level concacaf opposition. Their senior counterparts are getting washed by these teams. Somebody somewhere is doing things right

How things stood at the end of the Group Phase.

Jabloteh will face the Panamanian team Plaza Amador at 11 a.m. T&T time in the Quarterfinal Round.

The bottom two teams in each group will also be engaged in continued development as they play competitive matches vying for the Shield title.

once gain once again once gain once agan, there are NO local coaches or coaches who have made their careers in T&T football circles who are good enough in this day and age. We need qualified and proven foreign coaches to develop our football from junior to senior level, men and women football. Let our local coaches learn from them as assistants. But as usual in T&T the local old men think they can do it, they think they know it all although it is proven again and again they are not ready and don't know shit.

Here's another tournament to test your assertion.
