TTFA and NLCB team up to launch season pass program
TTFA Media

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association today launched a new partnership with the National Lotteries Control Board (NLCB) that entails the introduction of a Season Pass Program for all of its official National Team Matches through to November 2017, inclusive of the five home games in the CONCACAF Final Round starting with the clash versus Costa Rica at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on November 11th, 2016.

At a launch at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel on Wednesday, TTFA President David John-Williams received a cheque valued at $250,000 from NLCB Acting Director Ricardo Borde which will cover the program that will entail fans to accessing not just the Senior Men’s Team games, but all official National Team matches involving the Men and Women Senior and Youth Teams through to November 2017. There will be additional benefits such as a 20 percent discount on official TTFA merchandise, access to selected National Team training sessions and meet and greet sessions with the Players and reserved stadium entry access on matchdays. Season pass holders will also qualify for a draw where one lucky patron will receive a match ticket for the Final Match of the 2018 World Cup Finals in Russia.

The Season Passes cost $2,000 (Covered Section) and $1,000 (Uncovered Section). These season passes will on sale to the public at First Citizen’s Bank branches from this coming Monday. FCB is the official retail partner for the program. There will be 5,000 season passes for the uncovered section and 1400 for the covered section.

I95.5 FM has also come on board as official broadcast partner for the promotion of the season pass program.

The TTFA also announced the presentation of season passes to longstanding and outstanding contributors to local football and other sports including Alvin Corneal (former national coach and player), Leroy De Leon (former national player), Sedley Joseph (former national coach and player) Edgar Vidale (former national coach), Bobby Sookram (Former National Player) Lennox Pilgrim (administrator) Osmond Downer (former FIFA referee), Rudolph Thomas (former administrator), Everald “Gally” Cummings (Former National Coach and Player), Jean Mouttet (Former National Goalkeeper), Keshorn Walcott (Olympic athlete), Akeem Stewart (Paralympic Athlete), Nyoshia Cain (Paralympic Athlete).

Further presentations of this kind will made over the course of the coming weeks.

John-Williams also announced plans by the TTFA to launch a Football Hall of Fame within the next 12 months.

Meantime, tickets for the upcoming Caribbean Cup Qualifier against Dominican Republic, which also serves as a qualifier for the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, will go on sale from Thursday at all Sports and Games outlets, all Kenny’s Sports Shops and Ramsingh’s  Sportworld in Couva. Tickets cost $200 (covered) and $100 (covered). The game is scheduled for 7pm on October 5th at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.

Anybody get theirs yet?

Just wish it had or could have some kind of parking something even if an option for off site with a shuttle.
Parking at HCS is impossible. Maybe parking inside the stadium could be for season pass holders only who sign up....anything and something they could add later.

TTFA Season pass program up and running.
TTFA Media.

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association’s (TTFA) Season Pass initiative is up and running, and already football fans are lining up to cash in on this deal.

The Season Pass initiative was launched by the TTFA last week in collaboration with the National Lotteries Control Board (NLCB). This week, the Passes went on sale as the following First Citizens Bank branches – Independence Square, One Woodbrook Place, Arima, Tunapuna, Chaguanas, Point Fortin, San Fernando, Gulf View, and Scarborough.

The price of the Passes are as follows: Covered Stands $2,000; Uncovered Stands, $1,000.

These passes allow football fans entry to the following: the five home matches in the final round of  World Cup Qualifying  for Russia 2018; international friendlies and all other official national team matches for Men and Women as well as the national youth teams.

The Passes remain valid until November 2017. The TTFA has put on sale the following: 1,400 Covered Stands, and 5,000 Uncovered Stands.

Added to this, there will be a lottery draw to select six (6) Season Pass holders to witness the Final of the FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia 2018.

For further information, please call the TTFA Hotline: 270-6868.

I bought my pass last week and used it at the Dom Rep game without any hassle. I'm guessing the C. Rica game will be the real test..

My only concern is that there is no personal information being submitted to TTFA  when buying the pass. I think it would be a great idea for them to have a database of information such as Card holders name, contact details, email address, pass nbr etc. This info can be used for marketing purposes i.e updating the membership of deals, incentives, merchandise for sale, upcoming games etc

Another issue is one of security: Obviously it is up to the pass holder to keep their cards safe and based on the conditions on pass, the TTFA isn't liable or responsible if it is lost, damaged.

However, in the event someone card is lost or stolen, wouldn't it  be great to be able to call the TTFA HOTLINE and inform them that "Card #" was stolen. Upon receiving this info, the TTFA (Using database) can then log the info into their ticketing system, so in the event anyone tries to use it on game day it can come up at gates as a stolen card. The card can be seized at entrance and destroyed. They can have a replacement card re-issued to holder for a fee. This can be an additional source of generating revenue by issuing replacement cards. Something to think about!

^^^ Ent.

The parking component mentioned by dcs also adds a noteworthy dimension to the conversation, but is likely not practical within the HCS because parking is probably inadequate to treat with all/most season holders ... and first come, first served is a recipe for confusion in the context of ingress/egress at the stadium.

Also, when factoring in official vehicles, VIP, vendor vehicles and security parameters it would be problematic.

HOWEVER, the idea of further incentivizing season pass holders (beyond the obvious price incentive built into the pass ... into incentivizing the broader experience) makes sense. The question is, even if a suitable offsite holding area for season ticket parking is identified, would it defeat the logic of the present price structure (with unfactored in costs etc.). Although, it could be food for future thought, as it might help reduce the traffic burden in the environs of the stadium.

Either they didn't have time to put that in place or want to keep it simple on the first run.

They should look at an overall parking strategy for the HEX for off site but not sure if they have that on the radar.

I called and they said there will be a special entrance for season pass holders for the WC games. It's a credit card type thing they swipe.
Both the hotline and the bank said the card can be cancelled because they know the number and they took notes at the bank when purchased though I can't say this is standard and I'm not sure what the fine print says. Basically I think if you can convince them or prove you own the card they will cancel and reissue.

Hoping the separate entrance means faster entry  ;D

So far so good with the communication and looking like a very promising initiative.
