Would that team have won with Sir Alex Ferguson at the helm?
However I am curious as to why Terry Fenwick has not had the opportunity to be involved with the national team in some capacity?
Knows the region familiar with players have the playing experience? Bulling Trini woman I mean come on TTFA the man righ here in yuh back yard!  What more do you have to lose?

We don't know what Terry can do if he not in the mix. Would Terry lower his standard to accommodate DJW to get the PRIZED job as head coach? If his name not in the mix, then DJW may not want to deal with him. But where does the 12 member selection committee comes into this? Are these guys having a say or not?

What exactly is Terry Fenwick's record that makes him such a viable candidate?

He talks a good game...I'll give him that.  But what has he actually done?  Not just domestically, but in his entire managerial career

Thanks

A longstanding tradition in many places is that success in the domestic environment creates a pathway into coaching a national team.

He might have had a good chance IF at least K9 and JJ were there

Fenwick is a good coach but to defensive, maybe they could rehire Hart and bring in Fenwick to work with him?

Dred, rehire Hart? The only way Hart coming back is if Contro. and his group is in charge of TT football.

So....is Fenwick successful in the domestic environment?

If so, what's your definition of success?

One benchmark tends to be whether titles have been won or not. A review of title-winning coaches in the domestic league would not exclude TF. No surprise that familiar names are being bandied about.

So Ricky Hill, Michael McComie, Derek King, and James McLean have just as valid a claim as Fenwick.

I suspect the good folk at CS Vise in the Belgian Second Division might not be so enamored seeing that he "led" them to relegation in his only season there.

Answer to your first question: No.

The CS Vise situation constitutes an apples and oranges comparison for various reasons.

This thread was started with a limited question in mind: would Fenwick have rendered a better performance than Saintfiet in the context of CFU qualifying.

IMV, for multiple reasons, the response is "yes".

As I stated on another thread, TF is a credible and unsurprising candidate.

Only Hart knows what Hart would do. However, I tend to disagree with pronouncements stating he won't do X or Y. In my view, he should have the right of first offer.

Not the highest voter participation, nevertheless 66% responded "yes", 33.3% responded "no".
