De Fosto outdoes himself - twice
Review by Mr Muzik (Trinidad Guardian)
The original De Fosto himself (Winston Scarborough) is on a roll. The man is churning out hit after hit with such regularity, you’re forced to sit up and take notice.
Since Pandora, Firestorm, War 2004, Ah Come Back Home, the versatile musician/songwriter/singer has unleashed a torrent of hits, sweeping over pan lovers like a tidal wave.
This year, his selection Bradley, in tribute to the late musical mastermind Clive Bradley, fits the hitsville mould.
The song, released as a single, arranged and produced by Dr Leston Paul, is quite musical and lyrically strong. De Fosto has once again reminded pan lovers that he cannot be ignored in the Carnival milieu. But just when you thought De Fosto would confine himself to Carnival, he released Soca Warriors. This song is produced and arranged by Junior “Ibo” Joseph.
As usual De Fosto has come up with another gem, this time in tribute to T&T footballers, who have qualified for the Fifa World Cup in Germany 2006. With his usual infectious style, De Fosto has made sure Soca Warriors will be around long after World Cup 2006 is gone.
