Trinidad and Tobago Football is the fall guy in CONCACAF

Growing up you would hear things from the elders, but you would dismiss it as speculation.

But as you got older and wiser and were further exposed to politics and how things worked it made sense in the whole scheme of things.

You would also wonder why some our best players never played in their prime for the national team or why our presidents who were elected never had our football in their best interest.

You would reduce it to incompetence or lack of intelligence but then on further investigation you realized it wasn’t neither of those things.

In the end it boiled down to politics, power and money. It was never about the game itself or how talented  the team really was.

TT and the admin, management, presidents who were and are in charge have been placed there to ensure TT takes the fall for other teams to advance. It happened in the past and it’s happening now.

A small twin island republic doesn’t have that political power to control its own destiny, its controlled by others through their reps who have chosen to sell out. We must continue to play the fall guy especially in tight qualifying campaigns like what we have this time around.

That means TT must take a fall at all costs, Hart and a full team would prevent that from happening.

The dictator made a underhanded business decision and that entailed selling out for power and money.

In case you think this was just a recent anomaly, you’re mistaken, throughout our history since 90 we have played that role.

The powers that be know that given a good coach and proper training and prep, TT can qualify for every World Cup, this presents a problem, hegemony cannot be sustained with a spoiler, only with a fall guy...

Hegemony.. now that is a word some of us in here might need to understand. Understanding that word and what it truly means will help us understand why DJW did what he had to do..

Hegemony can also be associated with Cfu brother or the lack of..

Cfu being the hegemon is not in the cards because that would mean World Cup spots and progress for the region, the men in the house are there to ensure that does not happen

Normally with bloc votes comes power but for Cfu that is not the case, people need to think about that more carefully

Or maybe we just not good enough and have never been good enough.

Maybe we punching way above our weight with our limited resources etc.

What exactly is the country known for anyway? What defines us?

We celebrate and promote carnival but maybe our "carnival mentality" makes us indisciplined and unproductive?

Not everything is a conspiracy.

Who said it’s conspiracy, it’s reality...

It seems the majority are brainwashed into believing we are not good enough, that’s problematic and doesn’t explain what is going on..

If we weren’t good enough there was no need for the dictator to sabotage our progress and fire hart..

He could have kept hart and not interferred and according to your theory we would have lost anyway..

He didn’t do that, because that’s not the case and your theory no offense doesn’t make sense and is illogical given the circumstances.

We will continue to fall at all levels until their is a total revamp of the entire federation. We need professionals at the head who understand they have to adhere to contracts between themselves and players/coaching staff when it comes to salaries, training equipment and transportation. Professionals with a vision to execute grass root development as well to negotiate with the private sector for additional resources. Ultimately what we need to reach the next level we may not have in T&T and may have to seek federation heads elsewhere.

Until serious change is made Trinis will just be occupied with this  :) :beermug: http://tinyurl.com/ya5w9th9
