Wow, I have been hearing about Ellie  since ah small. Ah true pioneer in the steelband society. Thanks for the foresight and courage to do your thing. All Trini and Pan Lovers around the world owe you gratitude for all your endeavours in the Steelband Movement. I guess you will be taking a Pan with You to make more music in  Paradise Pasteur. Met him a few times in Morgantown, he was living there and was well known for being the creator of the steel drum (I know this has been controversial). He even had a vibrant local steel drum band open to the public and introduced the steel drum in middle schools in the area, where kids played the instrument in concerts and events. They all had fun with it and there was always joy anytime they performed. RIP Ellie Mannette and thank you for your contributions with the steel pan and exposure you created for our culture.
