Our batting is failing us. Where are the strokemakers that the West Indies was known for - the Laras, Richards, Lloyds, Greenidges, Haynes, Khanhais, Kallicharans, Rowes, Richardsons? Or the obdurate players that wuill hold down an end when the going is tough - the Larry Gomes, the Chanderpauls?
We are doomed if we cannot unearth players like that.
Then the bowling: No matter how fast you bowl, if you cannot control length and line but spray the ball over the place (a la Shannon Gabriel), what use are you?
