What's long overdue is NOT the SOE. What's overdue is a proper public policy response to crime. How long overdue? Decades.

We are in a "moment" (defined liberally) of impunity. Over 600 murders. The country is on normalized effluent. This is not an occasional sewage leak.

The appropriate response is a purge (defined broadly).

We are not the only country  dealing with this  notorious gand pandemic; we have an opposition who seems to think so and are rallying the masses to belive that the problem is with the government lack  of solution. While ther may be soem merit to an absence of  a viable  solution or solutions, we should note that other countries are  facing similar crisis:

Questions for the criminologists, politicians/  attorney general,  government and whoever is interested about really  lloking at viable solutions.
 Who profits from crimnal activities?

- Criminals?
Lawyers?
Politicians?
Business?

Has crime become a big business?

"After the killings, the Salvadoran government declared a state of emergency that suspended several constitutional rights and enabled the government to launch mass arrests of suspected gang members. The crackdown and state of emergency have since been extended 33 times as of 5 December 2024."

How did El Salvador get rid of the gangs?

Politicians sent waves of police officers and soldiers to the streets to dislodge the gangs from poor urban communities where the government had lost control. They coined the heavy-handed policies mano dura, or iron fist.Dec 6, 2023

Or yuh shoes burst off,
You could still jump up when music play.
Old lady, young baby, everybody could dingolay...
Dingolay, ay, ay, ay ay,
Dingolay ay, ay, ay..."

RIP Shadow....The legend will live on in music...
