KMC on BET behind the scenes

After having made it to the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Charts with his debut international track, Soul On Fire, KMC will now be featured on the popular BET behind the scenes show—Access Granted—when he shoots a new video for Soul On Fire, on location in Tobago beginning on December 18.

A full BET crew led by director, J Jesses, is coming in to do the video shoot, which will feature some of the island’s most beautiful sites.

The remix of Soul On Fire, featuring Beenie Man, Fat Man Scoop and D’Life, entered the Billboard Charts at number 84 and has been holding steady.

Already another track from the Soul On Fire collection, Put It Up, is attracting the attention of urban radio as well as clubs in the United States.

The 16-track Soul On Fire CD is featured on the Sequence Recording Label to which KMC was signed by its founder, Patrick Moxey, earlier this year.

Sequence is one of the top independent recording labels out of New York and is known for urban and club music including hip-hop, dancehall, rock and various dance music forms.

KMC is at present the main opening act for the Beenie Man tour where he has been receiving a very positive response from audiences in regions that have not been exposed to much soca music if any at all.

Although designed for the international arena, the CD contains music that should be in demand for the coming Carnival. One such track is How We Do It, which critics have predicted will definitely be in the Road March race of C2K6.

Soul On Fire the collection offers a mix of hard-core soca, ragga as well as a couple of love songs, KMC style and tracks with hip-hop flavour, all of which were produced by KMC who was given full reign on the project by the Sequence executive.

Among the tracks on the CD are Love Arms Of My Baby, Put It Up, Wanted In Jamaica, Call Me Now, Lover For Life and Rollin’ Back, which features Jungle.
The Conquering Lion of Judah shall break every chain.
