What Category of Tickets are people buying?
« on: December 12, 2005, 11:51:53 AM »
Is it me or have all the threads re. tickets just disappeared. Anyway...I sounding like a stuck record at this point. Anyone want to let me know what category of tickets they tried to purchase on the FIFA website. Just trying to get an idea where the trinis will be. Right now I am think Category 2 or Category 3...thanks

Since it doesn't matter if you sign up for the lottery today or in January I'm going to wait and see what category the TTFF will be allocated - unless they are being allocated 8% of each category.

For the price I think cat 2 is a decent deal - it's only $15 euro more than cat 3 per match while category 1 is $40 euro more and you might still end up near a corner.

I've applied for  category 3 tics, to all first round games, as the fifa site states that it will be behind 1 of the goals. Ah hopin that T&T section big an we make plenty noise especially WHEN we beat England arse.

when you apply for the tickets it ask you which team you are a supporter of, so I hope they use that info to put same supporters together in each category...but yeah, waiting to see what category (or if they get all categories) TTFF get woulda be a good idea.

Also Sm, with your going in early comment, your ticvket will have a row and number and if you sitting in the wrong seat, and a man with a tciket number come matching the seat you sitting in, a big strong man goh come  and escort yuh out of the wrong seat.

Small M. It gonna be assigned seating. This is a major sporting event. I highly doubt they gonna let men chose their seats. You done know if that's the case is big fight for the best seats.

Assigned seating is the plan..

it was the same for the european cup but once the game started we moved across to where the supporters we wanted to be with were and limed there (as most of them were standing and jumping up it was not hard to blend,  but I have a feeling the Germans might be more restrictive.

according to this thread here I think the US will be allocated category 3.  I would guess that all federations are allocated the same category.  But like you said, it can't to wait and confirm.

The latest info from the US Soccer website here shows all categories of tickets available I think.

Look how organized their process is for US fans to buy their allotment.  And they only putting a 10% handling charge markup on the tickets.  Jack and them want to charge we $30,000 TT for tickets and hotel with no airfare.  Steups.

That real vexing for real. Is the usual bobool that I can't take. Why can't Trinidad and Tobago do the simple things properly? Jack/TTFF have men running around like mad to get tickets for our damn local games. Now we make the big stage, we can't learn from our past mistakes.

Look at Simpauls flicking package. Is just to line up a select few pockets.

Corruption and Nepotism... that is what I shoulda put as my damn bus slogan.

End of today's rant.

From the guy at TTFF.

Trinidad will be allocated all categories of tickets and it will not necessarily be in the same section. The only ppl guaranteed to be in the same section will be the rhythm section etc, he referred to it by name but I can't remember now, it was a while ago.

You can call. That is what most ppl on the forum did. You need to give them a contact in Trini because they said that they will not be calling any overseas numbers
