Author Topic: Chelsea get Barca repeat (Read 5098 times)

chelsea will again face Barcelona in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, while Arsenal will play Real Madrid and Liverpool play Benfica.

In a repeat of last year's controversial tie at the same stage, Jose Mourinho's men will this time play host to the Spanish giants in the first leg.

The Premiership champions will then head to Camp Nou for the second leg, which was the scene of last year's controversy involving referee Anders Frisk.

Another England versus Spain tie will see Arsenal face Real Madrid with a place in the last eight at stake. Real will host the first leg at El Santiago Bernabeu after coming second in their group.

Reigning champions Liverpool will travel to Lisbon for the first leg of their tie with Benfica, who disposed of Manchester United in the group stages.

Another glamour tie sees last year's beaten finalists Milan facing German giants Bayern Munich, with the first leg in Munich.

Rangers have been handed a tie against Spanish side Villarreal after becoming the first Scottish side to come through the group stages.

Ajax will play Internazionale, while Juventus will play German side Werder Bremen.

now chelsea and barca r my 2 teams so 4 a nex yr a vex steups but dis time the 2nd leg will b played in spain i believe so chelsea have there work cut out. but february still far the forms of both teams can change by then. so may the best team win. ah neutral

Kareem yuh know Barca is meh side and Arsenal is meh team in Spain but this Real Arsenal clash is going to be good. Now that Woodgate out, which one of those fellas allyuh does call defenders going to stop Henry? But I think that Real is going to dominate the midfield.

Sol Campbell and Kolo Toure have a much better chance of defending Ronaldo than Pavon, Helguera, Bravo, Ramos, or any of Real's other shit central defenders, have of defending Henry.

Ronaldo is still the fastest forward...Henry definitely not faster than him...Now and never will be...Henry have speed but not near Ronaldo....Henry's stride is long and that what attributes for most of his speed but Ronaldo has long strides and quickness...I does watch every Real Madrid game and I does watch EPL games too...Ronaldo doesn't run as much because men would want to kick him down so most of the time he easing up(to spare his knees...BUt when he free from defenders, the kinda pace i see this man have is incredible...Please don't compare Ronaldo with any forward in terms of speed....His acceleration is phenomenol also...Don't compare...henry is nothing to RONALDO

Ronaldo have what is called turn of pace like when yuh measuring a car from 0-60
if you and him standing and he take off you not going to catch him but is only for about 10 yards or so, but because of how he plays that is all he need.
Is not like long time when he running at men from all over.

What Henry has is athleticsm. If the man run the 100/200 he might win. Cause that 4ka is a thoroughbred. He and Anelka them long quick strides he have deadly. Which is perfect for the English game which is a fast paced game. I often wonder if he would adapt to another league because other legues are considerably slower than EPL which would take away from his game.
