Yeah but that is a bad habit believe me I know. WHen u keep on assisting that is cool, but a forward has to score goals and keep on scoring them so his confidence could grow. I don't want him to assist in Germany I want him to start and to make England cry.  :)

All reports indicate that Stern had a good game and made an impact from the time he came on.This is great news.Ince on de other hand MUST be concern and should leave the club, because mark my words his place will be taken by Tony Warner who played today for Fulham.

The BBC reports say that Stern had an excellent game.

They also say that Samuel asked for a change because of "discomfort." Not sure what that means

Preston 3-1 Coventry
BBC Sport.

Preston maintained their play-off challenge with a deserved victory over a poor Coventry at Deepdale.
North End saw their unbeaten run extend to 15 games thanks to first-half goals from Adam Nowland, Graham Alexander and Chris Sedgwick.

Stern John's 59th-minute strike was mere consolation for the visitors as they succumbed to their seventh away defeat of the season.

Sedgwick's goal, volleyed into the top left corner, was the pick of the bunch.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Preston manager Billy Davies said:
"It was a tremendous performance from the team and an excellent three points.
"David Nugent is first class. He is getting better after his illness and he thoroughly deserved a goal. Roll on January 31!"

Coventry manager Micky Adams said:
"We never really got going first half at all. To be honest, we didn't deserve to get anything.
"Stern John came on and was terrific. He's a goalscorer. He thrives on goals. I'm not going to criticise individuals.

"I thought we were poor as a team in the first half, and the scoreline (3-0 to Preston) flattered us at half-time."

Kelvin Jack didn't play on Saturday
« Reply #26 on: January 01, 2006, 10:26:53 AM »
Keeper Kelvin Jack didn't play for Dundee on Saturday. The injury he picked up in the Mexico game is still bothering him and he wasn't risked on the artificial surface at Hamilton's ground.

Dundee had 17 year old Scott Murray in goal and schoolboy Jamie Kelly on the bench
