The current main focus of the newly-launched Trinidad and Tobago Futsal Association is the selection of a training squad of players for international qualifiers for the 2016 Futsal World Cup, to be played in Colombia.

Guatemala's Domo Polideportivo will be the venue for the 2012 CONCACAF Futsal Championship, the second straight and third time overall that the country has hosted the event.

The T&T Football Association, which has stated its desire to have every national team qualify for its respective Fifa World Cup by 2018, has taken its first step to achieving that feat for national futsal, as the official governing body for the sport- the Futsal Association of T&T (FATT), was publicly launched yesterday.

The sport event management organisation, SW Touring will host the third edition of its sport signature event “SW Futsal Invitational- The Hattrick”.

Futsal coach Clayton Morris believes that Futsal in Trinidad and Tobago will enter a new era after it was ratified as an official member organization of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association at the Ordinary Congress on the weekend.

SW TOURING the sport event management organisation, in collaboration with the University of the West Indies Guild of Students 2010-11, will host SW Futsal Invitational - The Female Edition on December 11 at the Eastern Regional Sport Arena, Tacarigua.

Some $10,000 in prizes are up for grabs when the one-day Futsal 101 invitational tournament presented by Dragon Stars kicks off at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Spec Indoor Turf, St Augustine, tomorrow at 9 am.

Paradise whipped Team Toyota 5-1 in the final of the second annual SW Futsal Invitational Challenge at the Eastern Regional Sports Arena, Tacarigua on Sunday to claim the $15,000 cash prize, challenge trophy, medals, hampers and bragging rights.
