Anferne Baptiste’s brace secured a 2-0 win for Clint Marcelle Football Academy over Crown Trace Football Club in the Under-16 final of the 12th annual Carapichaima Youth Football Super League, on Saturday.

Baptiste scored his two goals in either half to wrap up a comfortable win in the end for the team in green.

He was also on target in the previous match, the semifinal between the said winners and Marabella FCC, which finished 4-1 in favour of the former team. Crown Trace did well to advance to the final following a 2-1 win over 1st FC Santa Rosa in the semifinal a week ago.

Santa Rosa had to settle for third place with a 4-1 win over Marabella Family Crisis Centre, on the same day as the final. In the Under-14 final, Moruga defeated Crown Trace FC 2-0, with both goals scored in quick succession in the second half, through Nicholas Blake (57th) and Maurice Dick (65th).

Last week, Crown Trace required penalties, which they won 5-4 over SKHY FC to advance to the final. Both finals were followed by a prize-giving ceremony.

Medals and trophies were distributed by Croisse Supermarket Ltd. Vouchers and equipment valued at $6,500 were donated by the Sport Company of T&T (SporTT).
