The battle for the League Championship honours in the Edward Henry Construction Over 40 Football League now seems to be a three-horse race with three round of games remaining.

Northside All Stars heads the standings with 27 points from 10 games, Old Magics are second with 25 points from nine games and the only unbeaten team and the defending champions FC 1976 Phoenix are on 18 points from six games.

Phoenix with three games outstanding are favoured to retain their title unless they are upset by one of the lesser teams.

Table toppers Northside All Stars registered the widest margin of victory last week, bombing-out Past Students 5-0, and also featured in the most exciting game when they registered a 5-4 come-from-behind victory against Jammers.
