WASA won 1-0. ...Photo: Anthony HarrisShane Glasgow netted the only goal as M&M Real Maracas edged St John’s United 1-0 in their Emerald Apartments & Plaza Eastern Football Association Premiership Division “Big-Four” match at Maracas Recreation Ground, on Saturday.

Glasgow’s strike came in the minute 15th minute to put Maracas on top the table after one round of matches. In the day’s other encounter, Joe Public and Carib battled to a 1-1 draw at Squadron Ground, Arouca.

The Eastern Lions went ahead in the eight minute before Sheldon Carimbocas earned the “Brewery Boys” a share of the points.

The next round of Big-Four matches will take place on Sunday with Carib hosting Real Maracas at St Augustine, and St John’s United at home to Joe Public, both from 4 pm.

The First Division Big Four will also kick off Sunday with FC Santa Rosa versus Tunapuna Titans at YTC Ground, and Southeastern Connection plays Malabar FC. Today, the EFA Cup quarterfinal matches will take place.
