After the unbeaten Untouchables won the final play-off match in the Guinness Street Challenge East Zone, beating Flavours Bar on penalties, the Honourable Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Anil Roberts was on hand to congratulate the winners.

Minister Roberts also presented trophies to the champions at the Malabar Basketball Court, Malabar on Saturday.

The minister then used the opportunity to praise Guinness through the Street Challenge initiative for bringing communities together through sport.

“I think not only could it unearth talent, but it creates a family spirit, a community spirit and in the fight against crime, this is the sort of activity that we need to get more involved in,” said Roberts.

Minister Roberts at the conclusion of the east zone play-offs, distributed the trophy to the winning team, the Untouchables, who went through the group stage to the final without losing a match.

The Untouchables now advance to the nationwide quarterfinal event where the team will compete for the $30,000 grand prize. The final is scheduled for May 29 at the Jean Pierre Complex, Mucurapo.
