Columbus Crew midfielder Kevan George is currently in camp with the T&T team in Riyadh for the OSN Cup but is yet to make his senior debut for this country.

George was a late call up for T&T’s 1-0 loss to Mexico at the Gold Cup in July after Khaleem Hyland was recalled to Racing Genk and Kevin Molino was suspended. The Tobago-born player is hoping to get some minutes under Stephen Hart.

“It’s always a pleasure and honour to get the call for the senior team. Unfortunately I haven’t had a run as yet but I’m not worried. I’m being patient and I will be ready when my turn comes,” said George.

“At the moment I know the coach is having a look at a few players and trying to get the best possible squad of players together which is understandable.

The team did pretty well at the Gold Cup and I’m hoping to be part of things going forward. I think we’re heading in the right direction and I intend to keep working hard and playing my part when the time comes,” he added.

George was part of the T&T Under-23 squad at the Concacaf final round of Olympic qualification in the USA last year.
