Former national footballer Terry “Jughead” St Louis has been granted bail after being charged with the possession of five guns and an assortment of ammunition.

Police said St Louis, 55, was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, trafficking in firearms and possession of ammunition.

Investigators said St Louis appeared before a Port-of- Spain magistrate on January 3 and was granted bail in the sum of $850,000 with surety.

Officers of the Western Division Gang Intelligence Unit (WDGIU) visited a Pioneer Drive, Petit Valley home on December 31, 2024, the second day of the State of Emergency (SoE), and allegedly found an AR15 assault rifle, two CZ pistols, a Glock pistol, a Smith and Wesson pistol and various forms of ammunition, including 5.56, 9mm, 38 and 40 calibre rounds.

St Louis was arrested and taken to the Carenage Police Station where he was charged. Police also seized US$25,000 and $139,865 at the home but investigating officers said no charges have been laid in relation to this as enquiries are still being conducted by the Financial Investigations Bureau (FIB).
