Trinidad and Tobago will be captained by W Connection midfielder Clyde Leon in this evening's friendly international against Jamaica.
The "Soca Warriors" were forced to train on the National Stadium training pitch due to heavy rainfall most of Saturday evening. This meant that the team did not have the chance to train on the match surface but despite that, spirits are good in the camp and all are ready for the encounter.
"It's no big issue not training on the match venue. Of course we could have liked to have had at least one session but it didn't happen," Leon said.
"But we are ready for a good match. It should be an interesting one tonight," Leon added.
La Galaxy defender Yohance Marshall also spoke about his possible debut for the T&T team.
"I'm looking forward to it. It's a big rivalry for me to make my debut and it makes it even more exciting for me. I believe we are going to give a good show and hopefully come out with a good result," Marshall said.
Ma Pau's Lester Peltier is also looking ahead with anticipation.
"I've never played against Jamaica so I'm really hoping to get the chance to make a good impression and help the team achieve a win this evening. I've been working hard in the Pro League and in national team training and the coach has seen this so hopefully I can do the same in the match itself," Peltier said.
