St Augustine Secondary ruled supreme yesterday, winning the Coca-Cola Girls InterCol title with a hard-fought, come-from-behind 4-2 victory over Point Fortin East Secondary at Hasely Crawford Stadium.

Ke’Die Johnson opened the scoring for the “Gustine” girls, but they were pegged back by Point Fortin and Kayla Prince, who doubled up to give the South champs a 2-1 advantage at halftime.

After the restart, Johnson reversed the pressure—and the deficit— with two more goals, in between which Laurelle Theodore added another to put St Augustine comfortably ahead.

Point Fortin had no answer, and left The “Gustine” young ladies to celebrate with their small group of fans as they lifted the trophy.
