South Zone leaders Vessigny Secondary beat Moruga Composite 4-1
yesterday to go to the top of the South Zone on goal difference in the
Championship Division of the BG T&T Secondary Schools Football
League. The new South leaders got a double from Akeem Collins in the
18th and 58th minutes plus single strikes from Kyle Blackman in the
23rd and Khalid Commissiong in the 27th. Jesse Edwards pulled back a
consolation goal five minutes from time for the hosts. With this
victory, Vessigny and Naparima both ended the first round on 12 points
but Vessigny have a better goal difference.
