National Under-20 forward Shaquille Holder toasted the success of Carapichaima East Secondary in Kingston on Monday after his team defeated Presentation College, San Fernando in the BGT&T/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League “Big Five” final.

Holder made his debut for T&T, coming on in the second half of T&T’s 2-0 win over Puerto Rico in their CFU U-20 World Cup qualifier. But for fellow national teammate Shackiel Henry, despite his opening goal on the evening for T&T, had a bitter sweet feeling as his Presentation College, San Fernando was on the losing end to “Caps”.

“I’m really happy for the team. It was disappointing to miss the final but I was able to accomplish something that every player dreams about which was making my debut for the national team,” Holder said.

“But now I know when I get back home, I’ll be rejoining the Big Five champion. I’m really proud to be part of the champion team.”

Henry will be hoping to spur his team on in the Coca Cola Intercol series.

“I know we will bounce back in the Intercol. I was happy to get the first goal on Monday and now my confidence is back so hopefully I can keep on scoring for both the national team and for Pres,” Henry said.
