Following a 2-1 loss in the exhibition to officially kick off the 24th season of the Women’s League Football hosted by the T&T Women’s Football Association, the T&T Under-17 team will be looking for better results when league matches get underway today. The local Under-17 women’s team are using the league as part of their preparations for next year’s Fifa Under-17 Women’s World Cup here in T&T.

They will come up against reigning league champions, Real Dimension from 6 pm at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella. Last week when the league officially started with a kick off by newly installed national men’s team coach Russell Latapy, the Under-17s, coached by Norwegian Even Pellerud, went under 2-1 to the All Stars who got a double from Kenya “Yaya” Cordner at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya.

In today’s other matches, Joe Public host Tobago FC at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya, and last year’s First Division champions, San Juan Jabloteh meets Central United at Gilbert Park, Couva. Both matches kick off at 4.15 pm.
