SIDEY’S escaped with a 1-0 victory over Roxborough Lakers, to keep ahead in the Premier Division of the Tobago Football Association.

 Kester Kent was the hero of Wednesday’s game played at the Cyd Gray Stadium.

The victory saw the Speyside team top the standings with 12 points and a superior goal-difference over Youth Stars. 

Youth Stars missed a chance to go top when they were beaten 3-1 by Georgia at Riverbank. 

Kerron Phillips struck twice for Georgia while Nyron Orr got the other goal. Akil Thomas got the consolation for the losers who are on 12 points. 

The victory lifted Georgia to third on the standings with 10 points. Derreon Moses and Raphael Thomas scored goals for Lambeau to shut out Bethel United 2-0 at Mt Gomery. 

But Mason Hall USSS continued to struggle and languish at the bottom of the division after a 1-0 defeat on Akeil Alleyne’s goal at Moriah.
