Ataullah !!!!!Neal & Massy Caledonia technical director Jamaal Shabazz has moved quickly to bolster his struggling Digicel T&T Pro League club, with out-of-favour national duo, midfielder Ataullah Guerra and striker Devorn Jorsling.

Caledonia is in the midst of its worst start to the league season in years, with only one win in five matches, the latest of which was a 2-0 loss to table leader, T&TEC on Tuesday night and are keen to strengthen.

However, while the signing of former Adams’ Construction San Juan Jabloteh, midfielder Guerra has been finalised, the paper work for the three-month loan signature of former Defence Force front-man and current Orlando City Lions striker Devorn Jorsling is yet to be completed.

The 24-year-old Guerra who joined Jabloteh in 2007 after his playing days at East Mucurapo Secondary were completed a year earlier, was due to line-up this season with newly-formed club, Queen’s Park.

But Guerra who has played nine times for the senior Soca Warriors squad, scoring once then, found himself without a club and began training with Caledonia prior to his signing earlier this week.

He is expected to fill the midfield void left by former Caledonia captain, Densill Theobald who is now playing professionally in India with Dempo FC.

The 27-year-old Jorsling signed with US Pro League club, Orlando City on a three-year after leading Defence Force to a record 19th national league title during the 2010 season with a league best 17 goals.

But with the newly-crowned US Pro Championship winners not kicking off its season until April next year, Jorsling is set to sign with Caledonia, the club he enjoyed one season with (2001) prior to his seven-year spell with Defence Force which ended at the end of 2010.

A former Malick Secondary standout, Jorsling who also had a brief spell with W Connection as well in 2000-2001 has so far netted 13 goals in 27 appearances for the Soca Warriors since his debut in 2003.

Among his other recent accolades are the USL PRO American Division Championship winner’s medal with Orlando City and USL PRO Regular Season Championship winner’s medal along with a T&T Pro League winner’s medal with Defence Force in 2010/2011and the First Citizens Cup in 2009. He also won the Pro League ‘Golden Boot’ in 2008, with 21 items.
