According to an official from the Pro League, the teams were not able to produce the cash-flow statement that ensures that players' wages and other necessary expenses will be met. Three teams from Trinidad also applied for affiliation but the official stated that two have already been rejected while one has a very slim chance of being accepted.
Efforts to contact Phoenix head coach Terry Williams for a comment proved futile.
Phoenix will be back in the Super League for another year while Coaching School will compete in the Tobago Football Association tournaments.
Tobago United will remain Tobago's lone representative in the Pro League for yet another year.
