T&TEC made a positive start in life as a professional club under the T&T Pro League umbrella when it three youth teams played unbeaten in the opening round of matches when the 2011 season Oasis Youth Division kicked off on Sunday.
At the St Augustine Senior Comprehensive Ground, Warren Street, Keston Purcell scored a handful in the eighth, 16th, 24th, 67th and 70th to lead the young “Electricty Boys” past FC South 7-1 in their Under-17 encounter
Earlier on, Akeem Julien netted a double (19th & 40th) and Nikolai Solomon, the other for T&TEC’s to beat South End 3-1 in the Under-15 age-group while both clubs battled to a 1-1 draw in the curtain raiser, an Under-13 clash.
St Ann’s Rangers had the best weekend of the participating clubs though as they swept Ma Pau in all three matches.
Rangers won by default in the Under-13 opener and followed it up with a 4-0 and 8-0 pounding in the Under-15 and Under-17 age-groups respectively.
