Finally saw Quantum of Solace... not bad, but the story line meanders too much, still not sure what going on dey. Definitely no Casino Royale.
If allyuh get a chance check out a flick called Kicking It, an ESPN original documentary about the Homeless World Cup. Boss... boss flick. Along the way they highlight a couple stories, one fella, Craig Holley on the US team, young black hothead dude from NY; another dude the Kenyan captain, who can't score a penalty to save his life... but keeps defying his coach and taking them against his wishes... to the point that he's suspended from the team.
Two interesting stories on the Irish team... two guys trying their best to overcome Heroin addiction and become contributing members of society. There's a nice story about Jesus... the 62-year old Spaniard who's trying to recapture some youthful glory of when he spent 2 1/2 yrs with Real Madrid... and now battling alcoholism.
Then there's the story of Slava and the Russian team, hoping to win a trophy and bring media attention to the plight of Russia's homeless. Then the feelgood story of Nagib, the Afghan goalie who recalls terror under the Taliban, and finds love (Nilsa the Paraguayan hottie) at the World Cup. South Africa serves as the backdrop... but the real action takes place on the court (street soccer) and in the lives of the players. Boss flick is all I could say.
