Well that is sad I hope that Trinidad can get their stuff together and get back playing football that we know how they could because it's just Jamaica and Trinidad and Haiti who are in the Caribbean who can really beat teams like USA Mexico and Canada, but tell me this isn't what FIFA is doing to Trinidad football program is not that illegal and corrupt

I don't remember who was the team that Trinidad play last that they didn't make it to go to Copa America and have to settle in a one game against Canada to make it, so from that time until now there haven't been a FIFA international date window until now to play quality teams with their full strength teams to play Trinidad with their to get the guys prepared for Canada to make it to Copa America

You are right I don't know what is going on with Trinidad football but I'm going to go out on a lim and say that FIFA doesn't control Trinidad coach it would be more of you all football administration doing that, like money coming in from FIFA and private owner and sponsor but they're still crying about they don't have any money to pay for friendlies and better field and turn around butting the money pockets, and that's a sad thing because you all are not prepared to face Canada in a one win game to go to Copa America, playing Jamaican local team isn't the answer

It wasn't really to make the Jamaican squads it was for giving the local international experience of playing at a high level and look at players for the future, but anyway you are worried about the wrong thing what you need to worry about is why Trinidad having a important international match coming up against Canada and playing international friendlies against Jamaican all local team, like I've said Trinidad should be playing at least 2 teams like Columbia, Ecuador, Peru to prepare for the match against Canada to make it to the Copa America

I was wondering why Trinidad having a important match coming up against Canada and playing Jamaica all local team as a practice match for??? Trinidad should be playing at least 2 practice match against team like Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, team like those!!! I expect Jamaica to do what Trinidad just did but didn't expect Trinidad to do that, and I'm a Jamaican saying this

At the hands of a OK team😅🤣😂 don't be little the Jamaican team, did you really watch the game Trinidad only manage 3 shot on goal!!! With 1 on target Jamaican have 12 shots on goal, with 7 on target Trinidad could've got about 8 Last night if it's was not for bad scoring of gold Bailey miss 2 clear chances Reid miss one and gray miss one also, our so- call team draw against USA a game that we should've WIN!!! Well since we're a ok team that draw with USA let see how Trinidad do against them, Trinidad is lucky that the Jamaican strikers in not clinical in front of goal, it  would've been a  embarrassing nigh for you all

Leon Bailey is one of the WORSE player on the field EVERYTIME he played for us, he can't pass the ball
He doesn't square the ball into the 18 yard box whenever he beat his man on the wing He does keeps on dribbling until he loss the ball
When he get the ball in the middle of the field he just dribble and spinning around like a gig and loss the ball he doesn't know how to take
Penalty everytime he take penalty for Jamaica he mess up why we always make him take the penalty kicks??? Shit Aston villa doesn't make Bailey take NO
PENALTY, Leon Bailey is OVER RATED and OVER HYPE, if it was up to me Leon Bailey would be
The WATER BOY for the team or PEELING ORANGES,I wouldn't even want him on the BENCH

I thought the match that Trinidad draw with Nicaragua didn't make them qualify for the goal cup, them have to play a qualifying match with a team to get qualify to the GOAL CUP

Someone in here said they really dont see Mexico dismantling this T&T team. He said this T&T team too good.  Who was that truehaitian?

 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good at what exactly??

Mexico will do the same against Haiti

Haiti next!

Trinidad play good is just because Trinidad was playing pretty
Football while on the other hand Mexico was not they was playing physical and Ruffin up Trinidad players, that the first time I ever seen Mexico play like that, and about the referee was a JOKE he given Mexico every foul call the only time he'll
Given Trinidad a foul is when he don't want it to look to bad
These referee in CONCACAF is f**k up they're bias when it comes to any CARIBBEAN TEAMS, and Everything I've just said happens to my Jamaican team on Monday when we play against Honduras
by the way i have to disagree with you that our boy played well. yes the mexicans were very physical on the day but our guys are very unfit, weak and slow to every the ball.

have you ever watched our senior team play mexico? normally our players are more robust and quicker than the mexicans, and they are the ones who complain that we play way too physical, that's because most of these senior guys play abroad observe a high level of nutritional regiment and weight training.

we in the caribbean need to get serious with football, starting with that jokey football union call CFU. the caribbean is way behind the ball, and if it was up to me i would have us leave concacaf and have our own caribbean federation so we can demand more fifa funding for our overall development.
Give your team some credit the youth them play good
They only lost because they didn't came out to play the same way the Mexican them, Trinidad didn't get out play by the
Mexican,Trinidad wasn't physically with the Mexican and
Ruffin them up, but it wouldn't make any difference if Trinidad was playing physical and Ruffin up the Mexican them because the referee would've called every call on Trinidad, Trinidad wasn't only playing against 11 players they Were playing against 12 the feferee make 12, everytime Caribbean
Teams play we always play against 12 men because of the
Referee themselves, you cannot come out and play
An ordinary football on that PIG PEN on the Mexican them know this that's why they were physical and Ruffin up Trinidad players, and yes I know that Mexican isn't a physical team the Caribbean teams are we are PHYSICAL, FAST,STRONG and SKILLFUL, teams like USA, MEXICAN, COSTA RICA are TECHNICAL and there off and on the ball
Movement is way better than ours

2 Caribbean teams make it to the FINAL i don't think so concacaf wouldn't make that happen, let just say jamaica are Haiti make it to the FINAL and just say jamaica are Haiti got to play USA are Mexico to make it to the FINAL to play each other for the(GOLD MUG)i ment the gold cup 😅😅😅 and Jamaica are Haiti is leading 1 gold in the 85 minutes you don't think that the REFEREE will cheat and give them a penalty, and after that keeps giving them free kicks around the 18 yard box and eventually them are going to score one of those free kicks, that if the REFEREE don't turn around again and give them a next penalty for no reason

Well both teams was playing the game according to the coach be playing carefully and don't rush anything even if we are EL- SALVADOR don't win we both will have a POINT each. So I'll take the 1 POINT rather losing the game, HELL look what happen to HONDURAS coming out on full blasting rushing and playing fast and not taking a calmer approach to the game, Now they got beat by Curaçao and sitting at the BOTTOM of the group with no point

What I take from this is the MLS clubs them are not really local players on the teams you got VERY GOOD INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS from all over the world that play's for MLS teams so it wouldn't be easy to beat them, JAMAICA and TRINIDAD only got local players playing and them teams and this is a really good experience for JAMAICA and TRINIDAD local players to play against MLS and MEXICAN clubs, I think that if it was a all local MLS and MEXICAN clubs JAMAICA and TRINIDAD would have win,

Clean up Jamaica first, Carl Lewis to Usain Bolt on Tyson Gay controversy

May 7, 2015, 09.20PM IST (Times of India)

Lewis asked whether Bolt had taken a stand on other doping issues.

GURGAON: Sprint legend Carl Lewis on Thursday waded through the Tyson Gay doping controversy, saying that the reigning Olympic 100m and 200m champion Usain Bolt has raised a "legitimate" issue but he should "clean up his own country first" before talking about others.

Bolt has launched a blistering attack on his 100m sprint rival Gay, claiming the American should have been kicked out of athletics and not a reduced ban for failing dope tests.

Gay failed three drugs tests in 2013 after using steroid creams but only received a backdated one-year suspension last year. He was given the reduced penalty because he provided evidence to the US Anti-Doping Agency that led to an eight-year ban for his former coach, Jon Drummond.

"He (Bolt) has raised a legitimate issue and I understand that but rules are rules. But see a Jamaican is talking about it. Lots of doping issues have come out in Jamaican athletics in the last 4-5 years. He should first think of cleaning up his own house," Lewis told reporters on the sidelines of the Times of India Sports Awards.

"Doping is not good for sports. I have said that and I have taken a stand on that in 1987 and in 2008.

"How many people have taken stand on doping?" he questioned.

"I you don't take stands on the issue, please shut up," Lewis said apparently asking whether Bolt had taken stand on other doping issues, including that appeared in Jamaica.

Gay clocked faster times than Bolt last year and will be a serious threat to the Jamaican at the World Championships in Beijing this summer.

Lewis said the larger issue is how to educate young athletes.

"I am now coaching a bunch of young athletes at the University of Richmond in US. I want to teach them that taking drugs is not the way to go," he said.

"The larger issue is to educate youngsters that taking drugs is not going to right direction. Moreover, the US did not win a single gold in sprints in 2012 London Olympics. That should be a concern for the country. Who knows the collegiate students under me win an Olympic gold in future," he said.

Lewis said that genetics was an important factor in sprints but a billion people in India should produce an Olympic champion.

"Of course, genes are an important factor but India should have somebody of that gene from among more than one billion people because we are the same species," he said.

"But I reel India is improving. How many medals India won in 1992 Olympics but you are winning six medals in 2012 London. So Indian sport is improving in last 20 years.

"Indian athletes should feel confident that they can compete with the best. I feel it is not about lack of hard work but about lack of confidence for Indian athletes," he said.

Weir blasts American sprinter Bailey for Bolt gesture at World Relays

NASSAU, Bahamas:

Warren Weir spent much of Sunday afternoon on Twitter blasting American sprinter Ryan Bailey for what he called blatant disrespect of Jamaican teammate Usain Bolt.

Later that night, perhaps with tempers still hot, he was driving Jamaica to the gold medal in the 4x200m at the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Relays.

The issue?

Bailey, ecstatic that the United States had finally got one over the Jamaicans in the men's 4x100m a night earlier - the first time the Jamaicans were beaten since the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing - struck a modified Bolt 'To di Worl' pose by dragging his finger across his throat in a cutting gesture.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/QLaC5QABy0s" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/QLaC5QABy0s</a>

The anchor would later say in an interview that he had been wanting to spoof Bolt, whom he considered "somewhat of an icon", for a while, drawing the wrath of Weir, who is Bolt's training partner at Racers Track Club in Kingston.

Shortly after leading the Jamaicans to a successful defence of their 4x200m title with a 1:20.97 win over France, 1:21.49 and Germany, 1:22.65, Weir, the Olympic 200m bronze medallist, scolded Bailey.

"It's great that our team could be able to come back here and defend a title, especially after losing another (men's 4x100m). Seeing the team lose the 4x100m last night was definitely a push for us, and additionally, knowing that we didn't have a Usain Bolt in our team, also provided that extra drive for us to get the job done," Weir told The Gleaner.

Then he laid into Bailey.

"When you see the greats, you have to show them respect, you have to respect the legends of our sport. Especially when you are a little nobody, you really are to show more respect to those who are leading the way and those who have accomplished way more than you have," Weir blasted

"He disrespected track and field. He also said that Bolt is 'somewhat of an icon', he is an icon and he was not showing enough respect, not just to Bolt, but to the sport. As an athlete, I feel like he was disrespecting me and as a member of this Jamaican team, I also felt upset and disrespected about it," Weir added. "This is just the beginning."

The Jamaicans would later strike the Usain Bolt pose at the top of the medal podium as they dedicated the win to the six-time Olympic champion, eight time world champion and triple world record holder, who had to withdraw from the team at the last minute after complaining of a sore hamstring.

Weir's teammates - Nickel Ashmeade, who ran the third leg; lead off man Rasheed Dwyer and Jason Livermore, who almost blew it with a spotty first baton exchange, expressed their delight with the result.

"We came out here with a strong team without having the big man (Usain) Bolt and it really shows how strong Jamaica is, so I'm really excited and I'm really proud," Ashmeade said.

"We are very pleased about this win. We came out here as a team, we were determined to show our unity and execute the plan and that's what we did, so I'm very happy," Livermore chipped in.

Dwyer added: "Bolt is an amazing athlete and he deserves all the praise. But any four athlete that you put out there for Jamaica is capable of giving you the result and that's our strength. This was a good win for us."
