Jerrel Britto released by Deportivo Malacateco after three months. The club was said to be disappointed with his performance. During his time there, he made 10 appearances (nine as a starter) and scored two goals.

Boss goal by Cummings, but what was equally impressive for me was De Silva's involvement in all four of Central FC's goals. I believe it's 3 goals and 3 assists for him in Central's first 2 games of the season. Excellent start kid...keep it up!

Football / Re: Thread for the T&T vs Mexico Game (4-Sept-2015).
« on: September 07, 2015, 04:34:49 PM »

Came late in teh first half as I was working.

However, was impressed with TT's one touch. At one point they were passing ti around in the defense, I got worried but it reminded me of a brand we had back inthe 80s and 90s, where the touch was deft and intrinsic.

I have never seen JJ have a bad game for TT and this may have been his best yet. He had those defenders coming and going.

He was a bit lucky withthe FK. It's as if the man said "Open Sesame." And the wall just parted.

Cummings really surprised me. He usually seems invisible in a TT game the exception being the Mex game at the GC. He showed me he could shield, dribble and tackle as well as shoot.

If only he could be consistent.
Glen - what can I say, the yute and can score, dribble and tackle.

For a hefty man, Caesar showed some good speed and the ability to torment defenders. We need players like this on the flanks and middle.

Consider Molion, Boucaud, Jones and Bateau weren't there.
I see a formidable team slowly taking shape.

Now Garcia and Winchester just need a chance to properly show their wares.

Maybe Hart should organise a Probables vs Possibles back home.
I would pay to see that.

VB

Boucaud started and was one of the best players in that game.

Supposed to be grass.

I doubt... That looked like artificial turf

« on: August 04, 2015, 10:47:18 AM »
Allyuh f00kin comical oui!!  So Nick supposed to want to humble heself and come into this mess that we constantly complain about that is our federation?  He supposed to want to make his international football debut in a program rife with bullshit and political meandering?  For what, so that some of you jackasses could pat him on the back and say he is one ah we?  What that doing for him exactly?  Nick was born in the US and played all his football over here, why do any of you feel so entitled that he should need to humble himself and join?  Nick is an American of Trini decent wdf he need to submit heself.  Allyuh over bold with allyuh bullshit oui.  If de yute feel he have a chance to rep the country of his birth then that should be his right to explore to the fullest extent.  If or when that doesn't work out then he can explore other options including playing for us.  In the meantime given our player pool, our federation should keep tabs on him and should keep the door open.  If they have contact with him, the should periodically remind him that we are interested.  Begging?  Steups allyuh on shit!

so getting national caps doesn't add value to the player's career?

i guess repping your nation is secondary to ego now, like Nick doing we a favor right?

whether the TTFA is in disarray, we still have a talented team that could have gone to the finals of the Gold cup.. so despite all the bobol, we still played well and the players stayed..

so if Nick can humble himself despite the situation and realize he not bigger than the national team.. he is welcomed.. if not, good luck

like allyuh like promoting this star boy attitude, there is no I in TEAM...

Why does Nick have to humble himself? And what gave you the impression that his attitude is that of a "star boy"? He simply chose not to represent T&T at the time he was asked 2 years ago. How is that different from the Hoyte brothers who did the same and later had a change of mind when they realized they did not have a chance of representing their country of birth?

Boucaud appointed Daggers captain.
Daggers.co.uk

Daggers boss Wayne Burnett has named Andre Boucard as the new club captain.
The 30-year-old midfielder signed for the Daggers in the summer last year and has made 43 appearances for the club so far with his only goal being against Brentford in the 6-6 Capital One Cup tie.

Andre also became the first Daggers player to score an international goal when he netted for Trinidad and Tobago in the Gold Cup.

Cyah argue with the rest, although...tough to leave out Kevan George who IMO had a really outstanding Gold Cup for us.

Played every minute of every game, helped protect the back four, and did the simple things well...which often goes unnoticed

Yeah. This is a hard team to make. It was either George or Boucaud. I even had Hyland in the back of my mind. I chose Boucaud because he can play box to box. George more defense minded.

Not even a question for me between George and Boucaud.  George played every minute of every game.  Boucaud played 1 full game.

Agreed... Although Boucaud did well in the limited time he had in the Cup, George was more impressive doing most of the dirty work.  He also didn't receive a card whole tournament. The kid has improved tremendously since his debut 2 yrs ago.

This is the first year T&T have not won a PanAm medal.

And guess who is the Minister of Sports.

He is worried about fixing stadiums but if we don't have athletes then what is de purpose of fixing stadiums.

He worried about bringing foreign players to play in de WPL, feed them, cloth them and bath them.

You can't give a hustler a job in the ministry.

Kamla have to de the worst PM we ever had, she really know how to hire them, from Jack to Ramlogan.

Sam...you will have to find something else to blame Sancho for. This was actually T&T's highest medal haul at the Pan Am games.

Why do you guys speak as if TTFA reads this forum? Or do they?

Yeah, they do...

And allyuh feel dat because de German mystic man recruited some foreign born...allyuh feel dat was de reason for his success....

Well leh we jes fire half de team and bring foreign born..we bound to qualify fuh WC.

Or... You are one of those who believe T&T has all the talent in the world and that talent alone can get us to a next World Cup. Wake up hoss, we have a very small talent pool, a broke federation and no development program...

We can't afford to leave any stone unturned.  We need to explore all the talent that is available to us be it local or foreign-born.

Oh and I'll just ignore your comment about people wanting T&T to follow Jamaica because I want to believe you are smarter than that.

Congrats to @TTFootballAssoc for topping their group at the @GoldCup #SocaWarriors

Go get him Hartie. He could be a good replacement for Molino while he is recovering. He is also good on free kicks.

There was a 3-3 tie with Columbia I think in the US. Stern scored a hat trick.

That was in 1999, and T&T actually won that game 4-3.

He has never played for the U.S. senior team in a FIFA competitive match, so he is still eligible to play for T&T.
