 STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) - Sweden said Wednesday that it will play Chile for its final warmup for this year's World Cup.

Coach Lars Lagerback said Chile was picked for the June 2 game because it has a similar playing style to Trinidad-Tobago, Sweden's opponent in its World Cup opener. It will be the first time the two countries have played each other.

"It is an extra delight to treat the crowd to a completely new opponent, since we have never played them before," Lagerback said.

Sweden also takes on Finland at home on May 25 as its other warmup before going to Germany.

Neither Chile nor Finland qualified for the World Cup, which starts June 9. Sweden plays Trinidad-Tobago in Group B on June 10 in a group also containing England and Paraguay.


Ah dunno if this post before because dey have mih like magic mist here moving from office tuh office an changing mih account every other day.

But if dey playing this game as dey last one before de WC because Chile does play like de SocaWarriors... then ah smelling fear.


Trini does play like Chile who does play like Brazil hmmmmmm

Think that maybe Ljungberg gonna play little today. He dont have any foot problems anymore.

Anders Svensson takes Kim Källströms place  in tonites game  !!!   My question is why ??  Kim is a better player. Shoot harder aswell.........

Maybe u care or not...  But soon we gonna have a struggle against each other´s. :devil:

This is probably the Final eleven presented by Lagerbäck today. Some adjustments might be made naturally afterwards. But I hope Sweden will do a really good game tonight!
