My vote goes to Stéphane Guivarc'h-France & Newcastle United

Played for France in d WorldCup Final 1998 and for d life of me, ah doe understand why Aime Jacquet continue to play he instead of Thiery Henry.... ::)

Palos,
          Serginho was not my hero. He was part of the reason the lost to Italy in Spain WC. But he was always fighting against the football establishment in Brazil. Plus he use to butt men who pissed him off. He had a kind of short fuse.

Fatimarima....so tell meh this..when ah team like Haiti who wasnt suppose to be in d 74 WC but get to play....dem aint considered Shittong?   How many teams make it to d worldcup that didnt deserve tuh be there...like yuh forgetting...

Italy vs Haiti 3-1
Argentina vs Haiti 4-1
Poland vs Haiti 7-0

Ah bet yuh dat TNT team of 74 woulda have given a better account for d Concacaf region...

Henry started 3 games, and Guivarch started 3. They both were on the bench for the meaningless third group game against Denmark. However, whereas Henry was the starter in the group stages and the 2nd round match against Paraguay, and performed well (I think he was top scorer in the tournament for a while), Jacquet benched him after the Paraguay match and gave Guivarch the go ahead.
All in all, the man who lose out the most was Trezeguet.

I could also be wrong, but I believe it is commonly agreed that the "shittong" on that France 98 squad was Leboeuf.

Mazinho was a very good player- he missed one or two alarming sitters in WC '94, but other than that he was a key part to Brazil's engine- replaced Rai and never looked back in the tourney...also seen some of his club games in Italy- remember him getting a standing ovation after his Lecce debut because he was just in a class by himself in that game... man was quality.
