A number of ex-national players will be on show when St Anthony’s College hosts a three-team tournament for their fallen former teammate Michael McComie, who died earlier last year, at the Diego Martin Sporting Complex from 6 pm on Saturday.

There will be a new and exciting youth football tournament on the calendar for sports fans across Trinidad and Tobago this month. For many years, the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) has been duly considered the breeding ground of the nation’s young football stars of the future. The Next Level Consulting Limited U19 Community Invitational Tournament kicks off on 21 December and seeks to build upon that youth football landscape by providing another platform for our nation’s youths to play, to develop and to be scouted and/or recruited for the next stage of their football careers.

Youthful Dream Team win Fishing Pond title
Dream Team overpowered Pinto United 3-0 on Sunday to win the final of the Fishing Pond Football League at the Manzanilla Recreation Ground. Playing in soggy conditions, Dream Team hit Pinto with three late goals to end their resistance and claim the $20,000 first prize. Pinto collected $5,000 for placing second.
