The Los Angeles Galaxy have acquired forward Cornell Glen from the Colorado Rapids in exchange for the Galaxy's natural third round pick in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft, the club announced today. In order to make room on the Galaxy roster, the club today waived forward Naldo da Conceicao.

The Atlanta Silverbacks Men have added three former MLS players to the 2006 roster: Marlon Rojas (Real Salt Lake), Scott Buete (Chicago Fire) and Shaun Kalnasy (Chivas USA).  All three players reported to preseason and have begun training with the full squad.

West Ham ‘keeper Shaka Hislop should, without hesitation, go out and purchase his lottery ticket, such is the good fortune he is experiencing. At the start of the season, Hislop was second choice at Upton Park after the East End club signed Roy Carroll from Manchester United while his beloved Trinidad & Tobago were no more than hopeful of World Cup finals qualification. Now one of football’s genuine nice guys has the real prospect of a FA Cup final and World Cup finals berth to look forward to over the next few months.

The Virginia Beach Mariners are pleased to announce five-time All-League selection Craig Demmin has joined the 2006 squad. Demmin, a huge force at central defense is 6'2" 195LBS from Arima, Trinidad and has represented Trinidad and Tobago in over 35 National Team appearances. At the same time the Mariners and the Richmond Kickers have come to terms for a loan for the 2006 season for Forward McColm Cephas. Cephas from Monrovia, Liberia is 5' 5" and 180 LBS is already in camp with the Mariners preparing for their 2006 campaign opener on April 22nd against the Toronto Lynx.
