The Trinidad and Tobago striker backs his side to come out of the tumultuous time his side are enduring.

Sporting Clube de Goa aren’t enduring the best of times this season as they lie on the bottom of the I-League standings with just two points to show from five matches.

They have the worst goal difference in the I-League of -7 and have conceded eight goals. Their woes upfront are well documented having managed to breach the opposition’s defense just once.

They haven’t scored a goal in over 360 minutes of football.

“I think the season is not a proper season as I expected it to be, but as a professional, these things happen. So I don't want to dwell much. Let's keep working, have good games and everything will fall in place. Every game is a new game and a new beginning for every sportsperson,” opined striker Anthony Wolfe.

Pune FC had one of the leakiest defenses in the I-League although they did quite well in keeping a strong Dempo SC attack silent and eking out a 0-0 draw on home soil last weekend.

“Like I always said from the first day I was interviewed, that every team in the I-League is strong. Any team can be beaten on any given day. Football is played on the said day. Who wants it more will go after it. So if we want it more than Pune, we have to work hard,” he said.

“They (Pune FC) are second in the table. They are a good bunch of players and would be more hyped than us because they have an idea of what they want to achieve what they set to achieve which is winning the league. As of us (Sporting Goa), we have nothing to lose but everything to gain, because we are at the bottom of the table. We are still first but first from bottom. So it's all about character. Taking our chances will be more important in the game,” he remarked.
