Debe High will be shooting for a hat-trick of national titles in the BG T&T Secondary Schoolgirls Football League, this year. The league kicks off today with action in all four Zones—North, South, East and Tobago.

She was recognised for being one of two Tobago players selected to the Secondary Schools All Star team. She also received a plaque for being the only Tobago player selected among the top five players nationally.
They are the unsung heroines of the 2009 Secondary Schools Football League, but Debe High School’s girls were perhaps the most impressive performers this season.
Providence Girls High School successfully defended their BG T&T North/East Zone InterCol title yesterday with a 5-3 win over St Joseph’s Convent Port of Spain in the final at St Joseph’s Convent Ground on Serpentine Road.
Debe High School’s girls completed the clean sweep with an unbeaten campaign the second year running, stopping Signal Hill Secondary 1-0 on a ninth-minute Elizabeth Ng Wai goal to take home the BG T&T Girls InterCol trophy.
It was a disturbing case of déjà-vu for Providence Girls College yesterday as Debe High cruised past the North Zone champs 3-0, yesterday at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Port-of-Spain for the second time in consecutive years in the Trinidad final of the BGTT Girls InterCol competition.
This is the third year running for BG Trinidad and Tobago (BGTT) as title sponsor of the Girls Intercol Tournament which is set to begin today.
