Trinidad really following the US in everything boi.  Now they thiefing people money under auspecies of a camp.  I not sending my children tuh them nonsense because it eh have no guarantees and there is limited opportunies.

Kids, my advise is there are a lot of coaches in T&T with contacts to coaches here in the US, find them somehow but don't pay no money.  It's really, really, sad that we come to this.  I know my parents didn't have no $1k to pay nobody for me to get my scholarship......

Just for argument sake, how much people does partake in this nonsense?

Arimaman, as Elan stated, people mind set need to change a bit. Do you know what it takes for these coached to come to trinidad? These coaches are being taken care off while they are in Trini. Food, hotel, transport everything is paid for.
On the other hand kids in the States attend all kind of tournament to get seen from coaches. Is Disney Showcase, Dallas Cup, CASL, Blue Chip, etc. Parents spending lots of money to get their kids seen at these tournament from these very same coaches that are coming to Trinidad to scout our players.

Kids/ Parents are paying Hotel, fee of $130US per night minium. Big tournament yuh have to stay to play so you cant get away from the hotel fee. Further more at the big tournaments is one game a day so is three nights in a hotel. Tournament fee is $850-$1000US per team. Then coaches coaching fee still need covered, gas, hotel fee and spending money! On average a good team with serious kids that want to get seen attend at leat 3 college showcase. Do the math brother!!! Nine night hotel well over 1000 US. Don't forget parent spending money in gas/ air fair, food and all other fees accociated with attending tournaments. Do the math Arimaman!!!! Yuh talking about yuh not sending yuh child to do them kind of thing in Trini!
If you are living in the US and yuh want your kid to get seen yuh have no other choice.  Your son/daughter must play for a team or club competeting at a high level. It will cost you money!!!! You is one ah them Trinis who does think everything must be free!!! Then days gone feller. What is a a $1000 TT to pay.  All then boy in Trini spending that on clothes and shoes like is nothing.  Allyuh Fellers is Jokers yes!!

Thomas University - NAIA -Thomasville, Georgia
Georgia Gwinett College - NAIA - Lawrenceville, Georgia

I know for sure that coaches had to pay for their own flights. However their accommodations and meals are paid for while they are in Trini

Eldo Man- Let me give you a reality check on your suggestion. I know a Canadian Coach who recommended
Two talented Trinis born in Canada of Trinidadian parentage. They happened to look white. Guess What -At the first training Session with the Locals someone threatened to brake they foot, with the remark no white boy coming here to take we place. Then some local Coaches not wanting to deal with the local/ Foreign problem would remark = They do not bring anything different or they are no better than the Locals.

well maybe that is why we don't get no way. Mexico have mexican american playing for them. What wrong with we doing de same thing. How come man ent break "Me Mom" foot yet. Allyuh so does only talk ah pack ah shyt yes. Simple suggestion and you acting like we is some big football nation. We have to look at all talent if we can. What wrong with screening men from foreign? At de same time develope them fellers home. If the slacking and being lazy let man from foreign tak the spot who want to work hard, nothing wrong with that.

What them fellers need to do is to appoint coaches with trini roots in the most populated Caribbean regions  in de states. These coaches can be a contact for any young players with trini roots. This is a good start  to get the young foreign players involve from early.  Coaches can now do a screening session in the US select the best 18 and take them fellers to Trinidad to play against trini best player pool. I know this takes alot of work but if we want to move in the right direction that is what we need to do. Usually when ah player name start calling from foreign with trini roots we does want him to jump on we banwagon. Why don't we take de initiative to identify that player from young. it will only make the transition much easier.

I really appriciate EVERYTHING, I really feel like my career can kick off, I am new to this website so I dont really know how to work this, but i have got emails and information, my direct email is Roopchandsingh7@aol.com, I will take the replys all as positive and work on what I think I lack in, you can only better yourself as a footballer. Apologies for anything on facebook, now that I am getting some recognition, now i know i cant slip up and give things for people to point out. Bless..1 love

Roopie, great reply! Don't want you to think that fellers was just trying to fight you down. Just wanted to let you know that it is important to carry about your self in a respectable way. My mom accused me of being a liar. I looked at her in the face & said, “tooth fairy, Santa Clause, Easter bunny.” & walked away like a boss.

Attitude is everything king!!! base on what you post on your Face book page above says alot about you. Change yuh ways youth man and then yuh might have some luck!! As said before yuh ent reach yet. good luck
allyuh fellahs is real macco men...

why you trying to damage the youths character on ah public forum? ::)

he ask for help for football and you bringing up the youth's family business, what does this have to do with football and you?

are you his father to scold and discipline him or mother?

stick to the football, no wonder The HERD get pong so much the other day, same foolishness
Controversal nobody ent trying to dam de man bridge. I acknowledge de youth man have talent. I never say de man is ah shyt hound. What you fail to realize is that is thousands and hundreds of nen looking to make it at the next level. First impression counts king! If you don't thing de way a man present himself is not important will then I hope yuh ent have ah fuc*ing daughter!!  What i trying to tell yuh is de vibes ah man bring is very important. I play with nuff talented players and their vibes/ the way they carry about then selves was a hinder them from making it to the next level.  What i want to know from Roopie is where he is playing at right now. He went to Junior College. Is he playing at a division one program, or division 2? With all that talent on the video I am sure lots of other coaches like what they saw. I want de man to update we on his progress. If I am a college coach and I see ah man showing up he middle fingure for de world to see, talking bout he was drunk and all ah that the first thing I thinking is, is this youth level headed. Yes everyone does drink yes, everone does cuss but doh display it all over ah website. What yuh telling me is i don't give ah shyt about what people think i will do me!! That ent no attitude to have. If you think Social Media will not fuc**k up ah man chances in making it in life yuh living under ah rock pal.. Remember this feller trying to make. All men trying to do is tell de man carry about yuh self in ah more professional way and with de talent yuh have doors will open for yuh. Simple as that!!!

All the Social Studies put aside.

The TTFF is really lacking in finances. They should milk the race card for all it's worth. Indians in Trinidad support indian things. For e.g. when the first indian radio station was introduced, it quickly became one of the most listened radio station. TTFF/Anil Roberts should have marketed the arse out of this game. Pregame show, halftime tassa/african drumming show. Chutney/Brass aftershow.... sell 3pc KFC with half ah roti... puncheon/redbull at exorbitant prices, bring the indians out of every crevice in trinidad... and collect this revenue from dem. Who cares about who win or lorse, we have little or no finances for WC 2014, let's mesh our diversity. Rio right dey let soca meet samba in 2014.
I totally agree tassa and de full works. Bring out them gul in the sari and everything. Make ah money out ah this. If i was Anil I would ah make this game so big that it would ah make papers in India. Win or lost the entire India team, staff and players should want to come back to trini with family and friends. Good for tourism. Kfc and roti allyuh good oui  :rotfl:

On a serious note, Them girls should not be wearing no Korea Jacket. As much as men will say that is small thing that ent no small thing. If we national team could fly all the way to Korea to play three games, we can afford to buy them girls some stadium Jacket for  about $50 dollars ah piece.

Adidas is we Sponsor we getting them jacket for small money. Less that a $1000 US all them jacket would ah cost. I seeing slippers and all kind ah thing in that weather. Did the managers inquire about the weather at all? If yuh notice all the staff in T&T gear though.. Long sleeve too.

Half the team from US/Canada them girls could ah have  ah lil T&T jacket to "Flams" with ;D Anyway is Trini i guess that is not important.
I will tell fellers something on this forum. when I was playing college ball, ah man come to tryout as a walk on with ah Clemson shirt, not even Clemson soccer, but just Clemson. Well, Boy we coach run that real far. It's all about Pride. If i am representing my country/college at a tournament or what ever, there is no way i wearing something other that what i truly represent. Allyuh really figure them Korean wearing something that say T&T.

At on point Spann he was ah pine rider
Avery John come back for de hex he was ah pine rider. Ent know where he at now.
What division them fellers playing in????

First team foot-ball is important feller. I could understand if men was playing for big teams, but is ah set ah league 2 foot-ball and man getting bench.
Actually most of the lower league players play quite regularly. The pine riders are at Prem and Championship level. And what they're gaining there is much more valuable than anything they'll get at Ma Pau.

Change de tread to Trinis NOT in action  2 out ah 10 does play. Them fellers might ah been better off playing in de pro league home. Fellers outside but is steady bench... Ent make sense at all
Where would they learn more, about, organization, training methods, equpment & techniques, proper nutrition, punctuality, varying intensity, pushing oneself to the limit....the bench of some professional team,or the pro league home ? The Pro league making strides, yet it many teams are still learning the ropes, when/if, a few of these trinis in training, return, they would know what kind of program is best followed, and possibly learn/experience finding the means to adapt the organizational structure to our country, not necessarily just coach...a la, Sancho, etc..etc..

Sorry Boss I forget is Trini we talking about... Anything foreign is good, Hence de reason why ah man from foreign could ride pine with he club all season and star with de national team. That is why trini does play ah set ah shit.
First team foot-ball is important feller. I could understand if men was playing for big teams, but is ah set ah league 2 foot-ball and man getting bench.
At the end of the day ah professional foot-baller job is to play foot-ball. When ah baller getting bench he looking to move on, expecially if he looking to represent his country. So all that nutrition and punctuality talk ent gonna cut it.
